Really great game, there are so many things to do and manage: Keeping track of your animal wellbeing, hiring staff, building enclosures, keeping guests happy. There are different game modes to cater to different playstyles.

Variety and possibilities

I like the variety and possibilities of this game. There is plenty to discover and to do while playing Planet Zoo. However, in the beginning, you need some time to learn the game and to get used to it.

If you love to build and animals this is definitely for you! The only issue it has is that it's so good and allows for so much that you will lose track of time. Insanely worth it!

The game looks lovely at first glance but it has a lot of flaws that come apparent within the first few hours of playing: - the tutorial is aweful. i got stuck halfway through with no way to salvage the situation and had to start the whole thing from the beginning - building is a pain! be it animal pens or other buildings. especially building pens is very frustrating because half the buttons don't work theway you'd think they do, a lot of the building process just doens't work propperly and to actually have a half-decent enclosure will cost you hours and will result in 3 rage quits - to have your park actually work without constant error messages you have to build way too many staff buildings. regular rooms for them to relax, basically one food station per enclosure, etc, otherwise your animals won't get fed, they will die one after another, just because staff takes AGES getting anything done. All in all Planez Zoo has sadly been a very frustrating game that takes way too much time to get anything done. It tries to be too realistic for its own good and just ends up being no fun at all...

I am loving this game it starts you out by throwing you right in and it tells you everything you need to know. the devs really know how to get you involved right away the storyline is totally on point and they even make it fun because you can do so much they are not planning for you to do right away but you can recover and keep going

Good but not quite for me

Good game, graphics are amazing. But I find it a bit boring after a while. I think there could be more customization options, although the actual running of a zoo and taking care of animals is fun. I would compare this to a similar game like Jurassic World Evolution, in some aspects its better like you have more options when it comes to animal needs and such. But I find Jurassic World a better game because it has a clear campaign-like objective structure and I wish Planet Zoo had the same. It's more free style like Cities Skylines which for others will be a good thing but for me I prefer a focus, at least to start with, then you can move to running your own Zoo how you wish. Overall It's a nice game, recommend it.
