If you played the original game on Playstation; this game will be a trip to nostalgia lane, but with a lot of changes in the overall game story.
It is not radically different but some things have been changed; plus you have a timer mechanic that force you to be on the edge of your chair all the time (a guy that you can't kill that constantly stalk you around the different areas, kinda like nemesis in RE3). Some may like it some may not.
Graphics are amazing and there is a lot of gore. The controls are nice and responsive, and the sound is even more creepy than expected. The bump in graphics and gameplay make this game much more scary, even if you played the original one.
The negatives are the fact that the game mechanics are exactly the same as the old version: you have a limited set of bullets and inventory space, and you save only at specific save points. You can make the game easier by lowering the difficulty, but you will end up with a shortage of bullets and inventory space constantly. I wish they would fix that ancient design choice from the old game, but the main point of the old resident evil games was to make you uncomfortable so it plays well in the overall spirit of the game.

Leon and Claire's fight is not over yet as the duo return in what is a huge upgraded version of the 1998 sequel. RE2 now features the immersive third-person, over-the-shoulder camera, enhanced graphics and detail, and hours of spine-chilling survival horror gameplay. If you played the original, it's well worth diving in again to experience it from a whole new perspective. Don't worry, Leon still has his classic parted floppy hairstyle!

One of the best decisions in the last year, resident evil 4 was for the longest time one of my favorite games of all time, and this game is pretty close to that, I finished this game 3 times already and can stop, this is a must-play for anyone who likes single-player experiences.
The game may have a few flaws but I can see past all that, if anyone is reading this, don't wait any longer and play it.

Remaking an already great game is a difficult thing. Luckily, Capcom managed to absolutely nail their remake of the classic game Resident Evil 2.
This remake features many modern upgrades across the board, one of my favorites being the level design of the police department. It loops around in a clever way and it really enhances certain game play elements.
The game has a nice difficulty balance where game knowledge can make the game considerably easier. This gives the player a better sense of progression than just flooding the player with resources.
In short, wonderful game with a good chunk of content. Definitely worth a proper playthrough!
