"Not the dramatic reinvention I expected, but this is tense and refined survival horror with a brilliantly bleak, grimy atmosphere."

"After the fifth and sixth games, the Resident Evil series was in dire need of a re-think. That’s exactly what Capcom have done, and they’ve done so in a way that’s braver,...

Quite simply the best the horror genre can offer

Resident Evil 7 was a return to form, not by gameplay means, but by true horror. Gameplay is now in the first person, rather then 3rd, and it was a brilliant move. From the moment I began a playthrough till the end credits, I was having the time of my life. Completed it on Normal, then Easy for a <4 hr speedrun, then on Madhouse, which was a real blast! BUY THIS if you love good and fun horror games.

Staff Review
A first-person survival horror game that brings Resident Evil back to its terrifying roots, RE7/Biohazard 7 is extremely popular with users and critics alike thanks to the deeply unnerving Baker family and the eerie house in which they live. Bullets are scarce and are near useless against your horrific tormentors, making this already tense game even more chilling.

Seems really good. Haven't played into it very far yet cause I broke my controler 😂 But the gameplay is amazing. Puzzles can be tricky, but easily do-able if you think hard about it. The game does a great job setting a spooky vibe throughout.

The game was well worth the $5.79 - in fact I probably would have been willing to pay $10 for it on Steam during the 2022 Summer sale, but was hesitant and wanted to just pick it up immediately. Boy was it well worth it. The entire game takes place in a first-person view of Ethan Winters, trying to rescue his wife Mia, who was on a mission to capture 'E-001' or 'Eveline', from a Southern house located in Dulvey Parish, Louisiana, belonging to the Baker family.

Coming backwards from playing Resident Evil Village. I can say I like the game, knowing the origin story of Ethan Winters is really nice. At first I thought I wasn't going to like the setting of the game but it's cool. Overall, I really liked the game. The only downside I had was a couple issues running the game on Linux, but managed to sort that out. Still I won't let those issues affect my impressions of the game since it's supposed to be a windows game anyways.
