The story so far…

The dastardly Vex (a near-mythical being born of chaos and fear, no less) has kidnapped Sackboy’s friends and forced them to build his Topsy Turver.

This most terrifyingly twisted device will transform Craftworld from a fantastical land of pure imagination and innocent dreams… into a torrid, barren eyesore of nightmares.

Ooh the fiend!

But legend tells of a prophecy from deep within the ancient order of the Knitted Knights, Craftworld’s legendary protectors.

For only the brave, fearless, chivalrous and, yes, gallant can save the day in an almost too dramatic for words race against time stuffed with danger and peril.

So much peril.

Set off alone or with your bravest friends on a whirlwind of capers across the snowiest mountains, the leafiest jungles, the wettest underwater realms and the, uh, spaciest of space colonies.

Take down Vex. Save the sack-folk. Save the day.

It’s time to fulfil your destiny, Sackboy.

From woolly wonderkid and hessian hero… rise our Knitted Knight.

Perilous platforming experience.

Explore here, there, and everywhere through distinctive hand-crafted lands across Craftworld.

Utilise Sackboy’s cool, diverse move-set to face a huge variety of thrilling challenges, fierce enemies and startling surprises.

You will never know what’s coming next in an awe-inspiring and downright fun epic adventure you’ll want to play again and again.

And again.

Collaborative, chaotic, and joyful multiplayer.

Round up your favourite friends, family, and neighbours. This is going to get wild and woolly.

Create teams of two to four adventurers and take on side-splitting challenges in local and online banter-packed party play that’ll have everyone in stitches.

Parties can play through the whole game – including a number of co-op only levels – as you work together to overcome nefarious tasks however you can imagine, from ingenious squad tactics to pure dumb luck. Whatever it takes!

Exploring by yourself is a jaw-dropping experience; but heading out on a journey of discovery with friends, family and neighbours is truly unforgettable.

Re-stuffed. Re-stitched. Re-zipped. Sack it to me!

Famed for his antics in the smash hit LittleBigPlanet™ series on PlayStation® consoles, Sackboy hits the big time on PC, stuffed with sweet moves and cool, game-changing gadgets.

Hilarious, fearless, creative, and heroic. This is Sackboy unleashed – re-stuffed, re-stitched and re-zipped for a whole new generation of adventurers.

Fun 3D platformer with very precise control

I have the PS5 version but decided to double dip on the Black Friday sale as the PC version has Ray Tracing not present in the PS5 release, and also I did try the PS5 game over Remote Play and found with an all wi-fi setup, which is what I am forcibly limited to in this house (wi-fi 6, ping is good around 10ms and download is consistent 650mbps) that the input lag was noticeable enough to put me off. So I have got the native PC version and I have to say it is just lovely. There were stutters and some overall performance problems with the PC version that were well documented by many users, but with all the latest patches it seems to be ironed out, and the game is playing smoothly over here. I have fairly powerful hardware - MSI GT77 laptop with 13980HX processor, 64GB DDR 5 Ram, 2x Gen 4 Samsung 2TB SSD and an RTX 4090M which is between a 4070 and 4080 desktop in real world performance. I am able to play it at a much higher FPS than the PS5 with all the highest settings and DLSS quality mode enabled. I know that's not native 4K, but there is no dynamic resolution scaling, and I find, genuinely, DLSS quality mode at 4K to be better than native 4K as DLSS is using clever antialiasing. And the base resolution is 1440P and never goes below that. All this said, if you want to max this game out visually, you do need powerful specs, so, a heads up on that. Sackboy is a very simple and delightful 3D platformer collect-a-thon. There are some basic puzzles and really there's not much more to it beyond that. The game excels in its precise controller feeling, gorgeous environment and uplifting sound, and that combination is what makes it so much fun to play, but in all honesty, it's a simple 3d platform game at heart. For the PC version, I am using an 8BitDo Pro 2 controller in X Input mode. However, for those who have a spare DualShock 5 lying around, the game works with native "PS5 like" DualShock 5 functionality such as the specialised haptic feedback and so forth. I just couldn't be bothered moving my DS5 around as the laptop is in a different room to PS5 but I may get around to buying a second DS5 controller as I have amassed quite the collection of Sony games on PC. What I am finding is that I almost always end up playing the PC version, and Sackboy is no exception. If you do not like 3D platformers, you will not like this. If you, like me, fell in love with the craze when Mario 64 came out and have loved them ever since, you will indeed enjoy this title...

Refreshing, light hearted and fun to play

This is a refreshing change, light hearted and fun to play with enough secrets scattered about to keep the oldest of kids interested. Feel myself pining for the voice of Stephen Fry though as good a job as Dawn French does.

This is a great game for fans of the original Little Big Planet series. There are issues with lag but putting the command to switch it to direct x 11 fixed it all for me :) It's not as great as the Little Big Planet games but close enough that I'd recommend it

Amazing platforming game packed with nostalgia! Difficulty spikes if you want to 100% the game. I'm not following the story closely but it's incredibly fun. Online co-op is a blast!
