Quirky and unique game. Very simple and not much of a story but if you want a short unique indie title this is definitely worth a play. I would've loved if it had a little more to it but overall it was a fun play. I will probably revisit it in a couple of years

💬Introduction !
You are the flower delivery “scamp” who has just joined the Habitat. A place where all sad souls come to wallow. In a nutshell, it’s your job to bring smiles back to the people of the Habitat by vanquishing their insecurities and also finding out what is so important about the “Big Event”. But, not everything is as it seems in the Habitat with the ominous importance of Dr. Habit as well as his chilling backstory.
🎮Gameplay !
Smile For Me is an interesting point-and-click puzzle adventure that makes use of good storytelling as its strong point. But, what really stood out for me was the psychological undertone in the Habitat. Each and every character you meet has some kind of quirk or insecurity, and it is your job to help them resolve their issue as well as help them realize that their insecurity does not in fact define them as they wish to believe.
An interesting gameplay mechanic that I felt was either hit or miss, was the way in which you interacted with the characters in the Habitat. Basically, when you are conducting a dialogue, you can only respond with “yes” or “no”. The way in which you do this is by either nodding to agree or shaking to disagree, both of these actions are done by moving the mouse in its relevant directions. At times I would find myself frustrated because the movement was either not being registered or it would register that I answered with the opposite which would involve me reading through the same dialogue multiple times. However, it did create a unique mechanic that I had not seen before, so I give props to the developers for thinking outside the box and not just following with the trope of just selecting answers. This mechanic did make the feeling more personal and immersive (when it registered).
The quests themselves were fairly easy, I say fairly because there were a few points where I was asking myself “Okay, so what am I supposed to do now?” which involved a substantial amount of backtracking that in this genre is to be expected and more so welcomed because otherwise, it would be too “cut and dry” or for lack of a better word “too easy”. For example, once you reach the Carnival section you can participate in a mini-game that involves you having to click a button 5 times in the right order amongst 9 different buttons. So, I put my thinking cap on and tried to figure out how to exploit this challenge, only to realize the answer board was behind me but every time I tried to turn around the mini-game would...

The anxiety of being stuck at a Self-Help Retreat that doesn't want you to get better.
The characters are so beautifully distinct and delightful, while the locale feels persistently eerie. Reminds me a lot playing video games as a child, the apprehension that comes with not understanding what a game's code was fully capable of.
The queer undertones of this game are kinda comforting too. Which shouldn't be surprising, given that Day Lane and Yugo Limbo both identify with some aspect of LGBTQIA+ community. Just glad to see rep here.

An amazing adventure game, full of clever and cute puzzles. The gameplay is just as quirky and hilarious as the menagerie of amazing characters you get to interact with. Absolutely amazing title. If you get it cheap on here, I heartily recommend supporting the devs by buying the artbook and soundtrack.
