About Staxel

About this game

Staxel is a creative farming and village life game with a cast of quirky characters. Build your farmhouse, help villagers, take to the wilds to fish or hunt for bugs, and grow a variety of crops in your backyard. If you’re feeling social, you can even invite your friends over to share in the fun!

Experience Village Life

In Staxel, you’re tasked with restoring the farm to its former glory as the newest resident in a budding village. While they may have their quirks, the other residents will help you get settled in. Return the favour and help the village flourish!

When you’re not hanging out with your newfound friends or working on your farm, you could be pursuing a new hobby, completing one of many collections, spending your hard-earned money on precious seeds, or lending a hand and making your mark on the town!

Nurture Your Farm

Put down your roots and settle into life as a newcomer to the village. Starting out with a run-down, old home and farmland reclaimed by the wilderness, it’s up to you to turn the place around. Plant seeds, carefully tend to your crops, take care of your animals, and expand your farm. Don’t forget: take care of your farm, and your farm will take care of you!

Share the Fun!

Working a farm on the outskirts of an unfamiliar village can get lonely, so why not invite your friends to hang out? Staxel was designed with multiplayer in mind from day one, so team up and get your buddies working those fields! You can share a farm with your friends or become neighbours in Staxel’s vast world.

Customise Your World

Staxel’s voxel-based sandbox world lets you alter your surroundings however you like, and with a rich selection of in-game materials and an intuitive approach to modding, you can truly create your own unique world within the game.

Will you grow the village while keeping its rustic charm, or take it in an entirely new direction? Perhaps you’d rather leave the village and focus on your own projects? It’s all up to you, and your creativity is exactly the tool for the job!

This is a really nice game. One of the few I have binged through in a very short time. It's just very relaxing jet not boring. There is so much to do: farming, taking care of animals, fishing, catching bugs, quests and, most importantly, building. Building is a bit teadious in the beginning to be fair but it gets a lot easier once you can order everything you have unlocked. Many say that building/ crafting is what made them quit the game, and while I can see where they're coming from, I just cannot agree. Yes, it takes a few steps to craft things but this not true for everything. Most things take maybe 2 or 3 steps to craft, which is not too bad. More complex than Minecraft, yes, but still not too complex. It actually takes a lot of rush out of the game in my opinion (I like it but that is just my personal opinion). Story wise, I was very surprised just how much content there is. Each character has their own quest line depending on how much they like you. This encourages the player to build a relationship with them and get to know them better. I found this game incredibly relaxing and I enjoyed every second of it so far. Especially building your own farm with its house, stables etc is a lot of fun. A friend and I also tried the multiplayer and it works pretty well. Sometimes quest are a bit annoying because each player has to finish them (we had one occasion where my friend had finished it and it game me the "end dialogue" of it, despite me not finishing it myself. I was missing a small part in the middle of the mission and it took us a good while to find the mistake. a bit annoying but we worked it out). The only problem whith the multiplayer is that there is not that much to do. The few things that have to be done daily are split and neither of the players has much work to do. You can fill the time but there were a few moments where we just idled...
