About Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga

About this game

Enter the world of Tahnra in Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga, a turn-based strategy RPG with a focus on grand-scale operations over the smaller minutia of single battles.

A Huge Campaign

Boasting a replayable 30-40 hour campaign you will lead your army to rescue Empress Florina from a rogue General. Make alliances, defeat rivals, manage relationships, and experience the epic tale full of treachery on your quest for peace.

Over 50 Unit Classes

While they may start as simple conscripts, you’ll soon have entire squads of battlemages, medics, heavy infantry, archers, and many more. As you research through the tech tree you’ll be able to specialise troops for certain tasks, or make them more generally versatile. You can even hire mercenaries to give your army a boost, though at an obvious price.

Grand-Scale Operations

While most story-based RPGs focus on taking a small team from point A to point B, instead you’ll be looking at the bigger picture. Send squads of up-to nine soldiers to create an ambush, seize the high ground, or hold chokepoints. Liberate towns to use to resupply and create a good name for yourself. Eliminate enemy squad leaders to break their morale, but make sure that your own army’s needs are met.

shallow story, feels like an indie game. gameplay is fire emblem like but squads instead of single characters. Only play if you enjoy the fire emblem formula. Not for first timers in genre.

Ogre Battle Fire Emblem Shining Force

Its a combination of all three games and it does many things right, still in heavy development. Worth every cent, I promise if you love these type of games you will enjoy this game too. The graphics may turn you off at first but you will see when you play that it looks quite good.

Great Ogre Battle/Soul Nomad style game

Finally something in the Ogre Battle and Soul Nomad style of games. I've been itching for the squad tactics and this is exactly what I was looking for. Hope for more and this has absolutely put Dancing Dragon Games on my list of devs to follow.

Good turn-based game, reminds me of strategy games I played as a kid. Positives: It has addicting gameplay, fun gameplay Cons: The story is not the main focus of the game, so don`t expect too much from it. Overall a 4.5/5.

If you've played the old advanced wars or fire emblem games you'll feel right at home here, it's just like that but with many refinements. If you're at all interested in tactical rpg games you'll be happy with this.
