This is a decent twin stick shooter. I want to reccommend this based on its visuals are at times gorgeous (and your GPU lets you hear it) and combat but there's too many issues I wish to warn prospective players about.
1. Online coop is not stable. I don't mean that you drop in/out due to connection issues, I mean that you are as a player liable to lose the entirety of your characters equipment by doing so due to a bug. This can be disastrous for some players given its a loot based twin stick shooter.
2. Anti cheat software punkbuster is forcibly installed, regardless if you play solo (like I was forced to out of fear for playing with my friends and causing them or myself to lose character/equipment). It runs on your pc without your consent, without steam on, at all times unless you forcibly remove it from task manager. Even after uninstalling, punkbuster remains with no directory file. Despicable manuever when you consider point 1.
3. Difficulty scaling is broken. You can go through entire zones on a hard difficulty with a decent balance, then scroll your difficulty down because a boss was designed so poorly you have to change your characters equipment and traits purely to fight that one encounter and nothing else (immediately switching back to the gear you were using 1 room prior following the bosses end to better fit the zone). Imagine being asked in a MMO at end game as a wizard or healer to suddenly become a physical tank who grabs all aggro. That's the level of absurdity at times this games baffling balance decisions entails.
4. Button prompts switch to/from keyboard and controller. I had to take out my keyboard in order to stop this issue. This is not a normal trait for most games, let alone a TWIN STICK SHOOTER.
I only gave this 2 stars because I believed in the promise and the visuals/identity of the game are hard to ignore. But I can't hide my disdain. Don't buy this, especially for cooperative play.
