You Belong to the Corporation; Can You Survive Without It?

The Ascent Group, a corporation that has enslaved everyone in your district, including you, has fallen after numerous catastrophic events that have brought it to turmoil. Now, alone and without the corporation, you'll have to prepare for the worst and arm yourself against the incoming threats.

Take Up Arms With a Friend

I had heard some mixed things, one of them being the game was boring and super generic. I've been wanting to try it anyway, and when I had the chance to get it in a bundle, I went for it. And I'm glad I did! Cyberpunk ANYTHING is fairly generic, because the genre kind of limits itself. That said though, the story has picked up the farther I went along. While I have absolutely zero interest in the characters, I am interested to see how the rest of the story unfolds. As for the gameplay, I think it's great. I love twin stick shooters, but the usual problem with those is that they tend not to go any further than being an arcade game (not that that's a bad thing). So to see a twin stick shooter that offers character growth and equipment options that ISN'T a brain dead roguelite is pretty great. While I would like to see a little more depth in build options, it's still a lot of fun. The game is very straightforward, it doesn't offer any multiple choices in its quests, side quests are limited (so far), but man if it isn't fun to play. And the best part is that it doesn't depend on multiplayer to be good. I'm playing by myself and not once have I felt like the game was balanced for multiplayer, as games often are. I will say this though: the camera is a bit of a problem at times. Enemies will often go off screen where you can't see them, but they can still see and shoot at you. Most times you can take cover and wait it out, but not always. It's pretty annoying. Despite that, I'm still giving it 5/5 because it's a fun game. I can just fire this game up and get straight to playing, and stop whenever I need to. While not perfect, the game really hits a sweet spot for me, and I don't even like the cyberpunk genre.

Unexpectedly enjoyed the game and its creative storyline. The game also looked rather clean on my older rig as well, so Im real happy about that. 8/10

I'm not too far, but it looks great and runs great on Steam Deck. It hails back to older top-down shooters, but with a nice cyberpunk coat of paint.

Fun cyberpunk twin stick shooter with a touch of diablo. Think Hades but open world and with guns

This game is a real masterpiece. From the cyberpunk setting, the dual stick shooter gameplay. The hunt for loot and better gear, and also the story. And did I say how gorgeous the game is? However, the most satisfying part of the game for me is the combat. It's quite deep, with cover mechanics, evading, and skills. In summary I feel like I'm playing an open world Hades, but with guns and rocket launchers If I have to state a negative, it would be how there's no consequences to dying. you simply respawn kinda near where you die, without any loss to your money, exp or inventory. thanks to this I would often go to areas where the enemy is very overpowered for my level, just to try and kill 1 or 2 and gain huge amounts of EXP (or if i'm lucky, a weapon that's wayy to strong for my current progress in the story). I personally don't mind this, since it kinda lets me "cheat" a little and feel super OP going back on track on the storyline with a weapon intended for use much later in the story. But some people might feel the game is too easy because of this. Definitely satisfied with my purchase for the price.

The game is ok. I wasn’t a fan of the tutorial, and the controls felt a little wonky. It can be fun once you get used to the mechanics.
