In The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes, Special Forces have been sent to hunt down a weapon that can cause mass destruction... unfortunately, they find themselves in the middle of a much more dire situation, and it's your job to help them survive the night.
Throughout the game, you'll take control of five soldiers that fall and become trapped in an underground Mesopotamian temple, and it'll be through the choices you make that they either survive or perish.
Since the story isn't set in stone, there are multiple endings to The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes. Play through several times and choose differently to experience them all!
If you make a bad choice and one of your protagonists dies, the game doesn't end there! The story continues, and you'll have to deal with the consequences of your actions. This entry of the franchise includes over 60 death scenes in total!
In House of Ashes, the camera angle isn't fixed like in the other games — instead, you'll experience the story through a controllable 360-degree point of view instead, giving you even more control!
Additionally, you can choose from three different difficulties to better tailor your experience in The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes: forgiving, challenging, and lethal!
Invite friends to join you in this haunting story, whether online or passing the control around! See who can survive the night.
The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes offers four different modes to experience the game: theatrical, Curator's Cuts, Movie Night, and Shared Story!
Take the game with yourself anywhere, as The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes is playable on the Steam Deck!
