About this game
The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® Game of the Year Edition includes Morrowind plus all of the content from the Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansions. The original Mod Construction Set is not included in this package.
An epic, open-ended single-player RPG, Morrowind allows you to create and play any kind of character imaginable. You can choose to follow the main storyline and find the source of the evil blight that plagues the land, or set off on your own to explore strange locations and develop your character based on their actions throughout the game. Featuring stunning 3D graphics, open-ended gameplay, and an incredible level of detail and interactivity, Morrowind offers a gameplay experience like no other.
In Tribunal, you journey to the capital city of Morrowind, called Mournhold, to meet the other two god-kings of Morrowind, Almalexia and Sotha Sil. Your journey will lead you to the Clockwork City of Sotha Sil and massive, epic-sized dungeons, where strange and deadly creatures await you, including goblins, lich lords, and the mysterious Fabricants.
Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where you'll experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost trolls, ice minions, and wolves... just to name a few. You'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Or, you can decide to join the werewolves and become one of them, opening up a whole new style of gameplay.

I have hardly played this game personally, but it already brings fond memories and nostalgia. Growing up I watched my brother and my cousin play this and was enthralled every moment. Later on, I bonded with one of my best friends to this day over this game as it is their favorite game in the Elder Scrolls series.

Morrowind was my introduction to the world of Elder Scrolls. I didn't manage to get properly acquainted with the game until several years after its release, I couldn't stop playing it after I did. I don't know if people will find the game as interesting by today's standards, but it still plays great. Different, but great.
Morrowind plays much like an old style action RPG game, where RNG plays a very prominent part. Combat is one of the areas in which this is very noticeable, as enemy and player attacks have a chance of missing for no visually justified reason. Early on, when your skills are low, you are very likely to miss most of your hits, but as your skills start improving, you will slowly see more and more of your hits connecting. For me, it took a little while of getting used to, but now I find it an endearing trait of a bygone era that adds to the unique flair of the game.
The game also encourages a more attentive mentality, as most of the dialogue and quest information is relayed in pure text. There's quite a bit of voice acting, but the vast majority of dialogue requires good ol' reading. There are also no map markers to aid you in where to go next. You have to stay smart and check the journal for your latest entries or ask around towns for more information, which I found to be very engaging.
I absolutely recommend this game, it has a certain charm about it that makes me come back to it and replay it every couple years.

God old game, probably kids this day would find it impossibly difficult, it does not hold you by the hand, you don`t have point where to go.
You have map, compass and have to use your brain where to go and how to finish quest. But there are incredibly amount of mods for graphic update, additional new stuff for the game. If you want to know there are yearly contest even now 2022 year for this game, after 20 years. Moding community is still active, so that talk about love that is put into this game

A former Game of the Year. Giving a 5 -- based on when it was developed, not compared to current gaming environments. Graphics improve almost yearly as engines advance. However, quality content and innovative writing -- complex plot, lore, quests -- is timeless.
Are you an RPG fan? Morrowind is the precursor to Oblivion, Skyrim, and other Bethesda products. It set the stage nearly 20 years ago, but don't hold its age against it. Personally, I found its open ended world and attention to detail to be more engaging than many later titles. If your interested in an RPG experience, you'll find it here. I assure you that the lack of eye candy (compared to 2022 titles) will not distract the motivated RPG player.
Note that this product is the GOTY edition -- which includes the rock-solid Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansions. Finally, the mod community has really produced some excellent designs/options.
