The Entropy Centre

This was quite the journey, I have to say. First off, the graphics and music are both great, and from the get go the atmosphere feels awesome, so that is a good start. The characters are quite likeable, not that there are many (main ones at least), and the dialogue and interactions between Aria and Astra are especially nice, but for the side characters you see in the terminal messages, well, they're as good as characters like that can be for the most part, but that's fine as they aren't the focus. The world building is interesting; the architecture of the buildings themselves feels mostly basic on the outside (Not all of them, just some, probably because of seeing mostly grey), with some interesting design choices, but the general area and the story it contains are quite something. I found exploring when I had the chance with a bridge cube to be quite good. For example, in the beach area, I used the bridge cube to meet a little bot out in a boat in the distance. I didn't even notice he was there until I got closer, so that was a cool find. The story is bittersweet, I think, especially the ending, if, well, I really hope for the best outcome. I'm not going to comment too much on it because it'd be a spoiler, but it is a good story. I liked it, and it certainly shows determination. The puzzles for me weren't too difficult, only towards the end were, I think, 2 or 3 that were somewhat difficult, but your experience may certainly differ. Personally, though I had a blast doing them, it felt great doing them. The game also feels greatly optimised, I had everything on ultra and for the most part it was completely fine, only the rare stutter here and there when I was loading a new big area, or when something HUGE was breaking down. For the bad, I'd say it's rough around the edges there were times I could see into places I probably shouldn't, and invisible wells blocking you from walking to the toilet but not blocking you from walking around to the side of the bathroom stalls, and the music cutting out if you opened the menu and stayed there for too long, for example. The UI for the main menu is bland and basic but that's not too much of a problem since it's just the menu. Other than that, I don't really have many complaints about it. They could have probably used a water splash sound effect for when walking on wet areas, that certainly felt missing. Oh and also a happier ending probably, but that's just me, still fine, just as stated previously,...

I like the portal games so this game was very fun to play. There are a good few similarities to the Portal games which isn't bad. The characters and storyline were engaging and I enjoyed playing this game.

This is a fun game that has some definite parallels to Portal, and yet is a unique game in it's own right. I've played a few other FPS puzzle games, and this one is one of the better ones. The humor is easy, and the puzzles aren't impossible.
