The game looks nice, no questions. Music and voice over are well done, the gameplay works, nothing special I guess but okay. Why the negative review then? Well, the problem is the multiplayer. this game does have a "working" multiplayer (meaning you can at least join and play together, even though it is sometimes fecky) it does not work particularly well and is buggy af.
We spent over 30 minutes trying to clear the werwolf den (with 2 people) but the game often froze, enemies would become little black clouds on my screen and I could not interact with anything, sometimes I would randomly get damage even though nothing was near me, sometimes I just died because of ... idk?... we destroyed the 5 sigils only for the game to spawn another five in its place (which is not supposed to happen!). The multiplayer is also so much harder that it's just not fun. Yes, you can change the difficulty even mid game, which really is nice, but when you can complete a game solo on normal without problems, why do they make multiplayer so much worse? You can't oneshot enemies anymore, they spawn in 3x their usual number and you are constantly running so as not to die instantly.
We really were looking forward to this game in multiplayer but it looks like we either have to downgrade difficulty to easy to just play solo... still this is unacceptable to me.
Edit (After finishing the game in muktiplayer):
The problems decribed above troubled us throughout the whole game, they even got worse. The game was constantly glitching, sometimes we saw different things on our screens, the whole thing was buggy as hell. But I mentioned that before.
The maps for the first few locations are beautiful (forrest, swamp) but they got consistently worse. You enter a city one third or halfway into the game and the maps as well as enemies just get boring and ugly. The city was not interestingly designed in any way and the enemies just felt uninspired, especially compared to the more mystical creatures from the beginning. The game was also often lagging because of complicated creature animations and huge enemie numbers (not too bad on a good setup but still annoying). The fighting system, while with a lot of customisation options, does not add a lot to the ways you can fight, it's just clicking somewhere on the screen - usually there are so many enemies that it doesn't even matter whether you aim or not. The story didn't save the game either, it also got worse the further you progressed. I didn't...
