I wanted to like this game. Seriously. I gave it two chances. But no matter what, I just can't like it like I wanted to do.
First of all: the Ghost Experience mode is well made and feels good.
The story is not that bad, too. I have seen better and worse. If you have played Deus Ex, you can clearly see, that parts the plot/theme might be inspired by that. Not a bad thing.
Now on the other hand there are some flaws that make this game unenjoyable for me.
The dialogue before a mission is often quite long. In principle, I have no problem with longer dialogues, but since this game lives primarily from its gameplay and not from a deep and loreful story, they are very annoying.
It's not uncommon to get three minutes of dialogue, then fly two minutes by helicopter to a point on the map, have a few minutes of dialogue there again and then defeat a few enemies. Then, of course, there is a final dialogue and you are allowed to go on to the next mission.
Maybe this gets better in later missions, but I didn't even get to that, because the above-mentioned missions made me lose interest in the game.
Then we also have problems within the dialogues. Some passages seem to have been recorded with only one voice, which leads to a character suddenly having a much deeper voice in the middle of a conversation.
Also, the voices of some characters sound as if they were recorded quickly in a bathroom or a phone box with a mobile phone.
Also, this game has TOO MUCH content. The fact that Ubisoft games are packed with all kinds of collectibles is nothing new and I can usually ignore them. Here, however, they have really stepped it up a notch. Similar to Ghost Recon Wildlands, everything (weapons, attachments, etc.) has to be collected here. With over 100 weapons and their attachments, as well as other collectibles such as notes and evidence, this combined with the huge map is far too much. In Wildlands I also needed some time to collect everything, or at least almost everything, but here we have the masses, which demotivate me by their sheer number.
