About Total War: WARHAMMER III

About this game

The coming conflict will engulf all. Will you conquer your daemons? Or command them? It's time to find out with your Total War: WARHAMMER III Steam PC key. In this action strategy from renowned developer Creative Assembly, you'll lead one of four initial races in a gripping war for survival.

CAUSE FOR CHAOS

Far beyond the world and its petty wars there exists a dimension of pure, malevolent magic: The Realm of Chaos. It is a terrible place, incomprehensible to the mortal mind. It whispers promises of power, but to behold it is to be seduced by it.

To relinquish your soul to it... to become it.

CHOOSE YOUR ARMY. LEAD YOUR PEOPLE

The four Ruinous Powers rule over this place, ever seeking to slip their bonds and engulf the world in a tide of daemonic corruption. Nurgle, the plague god; Slaanesh, the lord of excess; Tzeentch, the changer of ways; and Khorne, the god of blood and slaughter.

On the border between the worlds, two mighty kingdoms stand sentinel: the stern warriors of Kislev and the vast empire of Grand Cathay. But each is beset by its own trials, and now both have cause to cross the threshold and send their armies into the Realm of Chaos.

The world stands on a precipice, and a single push will plunge it into cataclysm. There is one who schemes to achieve just that, an ancient figure who desires nothing less than to wield supreme power. But to succeed, he will need a champion…

Choose from nine playable Legendary Lords that will lead your race into battle, and enjoy a wider selection of individual races than any previous Total War: WARHAMMER core title.

Brand New Legendary Lord: The Daemon Prince!

  • Rise in the name of Chaos Undivided as the immortal Daemon Prince, leading the Legion of Chaos. Create your own unique daemonic design, and unleash the combined power of the four Chaos Gods upon your enemies!
  • Earn Daemonic Glory, a currency specific to the Daemon Prince.
  • Trade your Daemonic Glory for new attributes, weapons, spells and stat boosts.
  • Customise your own unique combination of artefacts, abilities and appendages.
  • Create terrifying armies from Daemonic units of each of the four Chaos Gods.

Warhammer Total War III is the start of something massive, something that is an evolving process of all the previous lessons learned from the predecessor’s two successive back to back prequels: Warhammer 1 & 2 and delivers confidently on that front. From stunning visuals to reworked city maps that got rid of the 90* degree angle sieges, opting instead to go towards a mixture of 270* sieges, Creative Assembly has shown its hard work. For the first time, Creative Assembly also launches itself into a full narrative campaign complete with cinematics. The prologue campaign is one of the best campaigns that the company has ever created. Warhammer III is not without its flaws, however, and that too becomes a burden on the game’s narrative structure. Warhammer III is a game that is a battleground between its sandbox nature and its narrative structure that prevents the game from achieving its full potential. It should be taken into account, that Warhammer III will be receiving consistent updates and plenty of DLC which will flesh out the narrative, and improve upon weak elements of the storytelling narrative.

Easily the best Warhammer game launch

Bear in mind this game is graphically intensive, I get good performance... but I have a beast of a PC. Unless you have a gtx 3080 and a new(ish) CPU or better you may well have to settle for lower than ultra settings. The recommended specs are pitched a bit low I think, you do want a very good PC to run this at max settings. With that out of the way, this is the smoothest and best Total Warhammer game yet, yes I shortened the title for you CA, you can thank me later... CA chose not to rest on their laurels with this game, its inventive, so far in three gaming sessions I've got 32 hours in game, that's over ten hours per session, and I wanted to play more. The sieges finally got fixed. There are so many quality of life improvements over Warhammer 2. Eight factions to choose from at launch, Cathay (who are great but maybe a weak mid tier roster) Ogres who are fantastically non apologetic about their need for a hearty dinner, Kislev who are a lot of fun, build your own Daemon prince which is a fun idea, and then of course the ruinous powers. My advice to people, don't rush this game, ease off on the auto resolve and enjoy the game, rushing to the end of a campaign might not be the best idea. However you do have to engage with the book of souls questline whether you are ready or not, some players may find that time pressure annoying, but there was a similar thing in the Vortex campaign in Warhammer 2 and really the game is better for it. Is it a perfect game? perhaps not, sometimes you have to issue units the same order several times to get them to execute that order, this has been an issue through all the Total Warhammer games. After 3 games you'd have thought that'd be fixed but it must be easier said than done, but I had to wrack my brains for a minute to even think of flaws here. Creative Assembly should be commended in general for this game, it exceeds my expectations in a lot of ways, it isn't just 'more of the same' its better, its more fun, its prettier and its inventive in ways which are both bold and refreshing.

Game is great, I was a big fan of Warhammer2 and this one is just as good. Some bugs need to be fixed but overall a great game! Great service by Fanatical.com, got my key right away and was downloading the game in minutes. I will certainly use these services again, thank you!

Stellar game, best of the entire Total War franchise.

This game is literally the best iteration of the Total War style. Every faction has super unique aspects, and there are more ways to play with friends and multiplayer up to 8 people, with simultaneous turns and everything. Already finished a campaign and there are two others plus the upcoming load in of all the old factions!

Awesome game! If you enjoyed the creative mechanics of TWW2 DLCs, TWW3 picks up and continues this. I have never been a big fan of the forced feel of the vortex campaign of TWW2 and I dont prefer it in 3...i am eagerly waiting for Mortal Empires but that said the mechanics of the are fun and challenging. With thousands of hours in TWW2, I still find myself spending the first 40ish turns really trying to figure out and get proficient at how each faction plays which is good as in TWW2, trying a new DLC faction on vortex was usually insta-steam rolling. Minor bugs here and there but turn times are faster than 2, and overall it runs better for me than TWW2.

A very good addition to the Total Warhammer series. There's a lot of content. There's six (plus one DLC) factions instead of the usual four. Siege maps are far more complex and challenging, which I like. I haven't experienced a lot of the bugs and performance issues that a lot of people have. I have had a couple of times were the game slowed down but, for the most part, the game has run fine. The models are great. I haven't gotten too far into the new campaign, so I can't comment much on it. I'm liking it so far but I don't know if it's one that I would want to replay over and over. I didn't care much for the Vortex campaign in the last game, and mostly played Mortal Empires. The new Mortal Empires map was leaked and it looks like it's going to be absolutely massive, so it should be a lot of fun. I really like the campaign mechanics for Slaanesh and Tzeentch. I also enjoyed the Ogres but the camp mechanic could've been better. They're still fun. I haven't tried the other factions yet, but I hear Cathay is very good. All in all, I'm pleased with the game.

A solid improvement over the previous two entries while retaining what made them great. TW:WH3 improves the Multiplayer, Diplomacy, and Seige aspects especially, which were my biggest complaints with 1 & 2. If you're a Total War fan, Warhammer fan, or strategy fan, I highly recommend it!

Great game right out the gates, just a ton of content. Looking forward to all the DLC and extra polish that's coming too!
