About Total War: WARHAMMER III

About this game

The coming conflict will engulf all. Will you conquer your daemons? Or command them? It's time to find out with your Total War: WARHAMMER III Steam PC key. In this action strategy from renowned developer Creative Assembly, you'll lead one of four initial races in a gripping war for survival.

CAUSE FOR CHAOS

Far beyond the world and its petty wars there exists a dimension of pure, malevolent magic: The Realm of Chaos. It is a terrible place, incomprehensible to the mortal mind. It whispers promises of power, but to behold it is to be seduced by it.

To relinquish your soul to it... to become it.

CHOOSE YOUR ARMY. LEAD YOUR PEOPLE

The four Ruinous Powers rule over this place, ever seeking to slip their bonds and engulf the world in a tide of daemonic corruption. Nurgle, the plague god; Slaanesh, the lord of excess; Tzeentch, the changer of ways; and Khorne, the god of blood and slaughter.

On the border between the worlds, two mighty kingdoms stand sentinel: the stern warriors of Kislev and the vast empire of Grand Cathay. But each is beset by its own trials, and now both have cause to cross the threshold and send their armies into the Realm of Chaos.

The world stands on a precipice, and a single push will plunge it into cataclysm. There is one who schemes to achieve just that, an ancient figure who desires nothing less than to wield supreme power. But to succeed, he will need a champion…

Choose from nine playable Legendary Lords that will lead your race into battle, and enjoy a wider selection of individual races than any previous Total War: WARHAMMER core title.

Brand New Legendary Lord: The Daemon Prince!

  • Rise in the name of Chaos Undivided as the immortal Daemon Prince, leading the Legion of Chaos. Create your own unique daemonic design, and unleash the combined power of the four Chaos Gods upon your enemies!
  • Earn Daemonic Glory, a currency specific to the Daemon Prince.
  • Trade your Daemonic Glory for new attributes, weapons, spells and stat boosts.
  • Customise your own unique combination of artefacts, abilities and appendages.
  • Create terrifying armies from Daemonic units of each of the four Chaos Gods.
  • Choose to pledge allegiance to one of the Chaos Gods or remain loyal to Chaos Undivided!

Great game. The Coop campaign is tons of fun with friends. There is plenty of variety between the default factions and units to keep you entertained for multiple playthroughs, but it would be nice to see the option to purchase some WH and WH2 legacy factions without having to connect accounts and prove ownership of the two previous games.

If you've played one Total War game you've played them all. The different themes between games are similar to the differences in picking up different thematic versions of Monopoly or Risk. That isn't necessarily a bad thing since the mechanics are really solid, the exception being the shallow Diplomacy mode, but it does set high expectations for a full price sequel. Unfortunately Total War: Warhammer III does very little to differentiate itself from the already really similar previous two titles. It looks like, plays like and even shares visual and audio assets with TW:W2. The main selling point is the Immortal Empires update as well as a cleaner and more streamlined UI which in all honesty is enough to carry the game to a recommendation provided that you own the previous two main games. If you don't own both the previous games Immortal Empires will be locked until you buy them and at that point you might as well stick to the one you do have since it's basically the same game. I will say that Mark of Chaos applied the Total War formula to Warhammer in a much better way than Total War: Warhammer ever did but as modern stratgey games goes this is as good as it gets.

Very enjoyable

It is the wonderful culmination of three games' worth of content, all mixed into one, grand immortal campaign. It still needs some quality of life updates and what not, but it's already incredibly enjoyable. The game will probably keep improving through updates and DLCs, and I can't wait to enjoy the game (and mods) for many years to come.

Rough start, getting much better now with Immortal Empires release.

While it still has a way to go to reach the heights of Total War Warhammer 2, it's well on it's way after a rocky launch. The base game's main campaign is mostly fine until later on when it becomes irritating, and more a slog than fun. However with the release of Immortal Empires for everyone, for free, the quality of gameplay shoots significantly higher, and we finally have access to almost the entire Warhammer Fantasy world map

One of the best, if not THE best, grand strategy games out there. This game combines the two previous total war warhammer games into one epic fantasy war game. Now with the addition of immortal empires, multiple campaigns, 8 player multiplayer, this game is the best of the franchise.

Awesome successor.

This game is awesome, and a wonderful successor to the predecessors, with great new factions and a relatively (if sometimes annoying) guided campaign mode, along with now a huge combined map mode that adds game one and two content in, which alone is worth the money.
