About this game

Management. Construction. Trains. Welcome to Train Valley!

Play in Europe, America, Japan and USSR in 1830-2020; complete the story mode from the Gold Rush of 1849 to the first manned spaceflight, and then explore the random mode for unlimited fun. The story mode features real-life events such as the Gold Rush of 1849, the construction of the Florida Overseas Railroad, World War II, the Cold War, the launch of the first manned space flight Vostok 1 and more.

WATCH YOUR SPENDING
Be sure to manage your resources carefully – run out of cash and you’ll become bankrupt and will no longer having the ability to continue running the town’s rail system.

LOTS OF WAYS TO GO ABOUT YOU TRAIN VALLEY DAYS
Explore the game in different ways with story mode, random mode – where the level looks and develops differently every time you launch – or in sandbox-like regime, which can be turned on for both story and random modes and allows you to play without time and money limits.

MANAGEMENT SKILLS
Manage increasing traffic by constructing, switches, sidings and spurs so that multiple trains can run without delays, at the same time. Stay accident-free by precisely controlling trains during crucial moments, using pause for planning (you can build railways and schedule trains while on pause).

Exhausting micromanagement, challenging railroads

Preview after 10 hours. Train Valley is a micromanagement simulation and puzzle for trains and rails with a simplistic economy. I've struggled a lot in this one. Create railways so your color coded trains can get to the right stations, get money and build more railroads. Some trains are very fast and you should avoid accidents at all costs as you'll probably fail if the trains collide causing a destruction, loss of money and time. It's a simple mechanic, it gets mixed up with interesting challenges so we can get points to actually proceed into new missions. The game is on the harder end of difficulty, it's a puzzle in real-time after all, it can also be stopped to plan each move and that's how I played it, just trying to achieve perfection.

A nice little puzzle game.

You'll try to build a rail network that is efficient but also gives you enough time to react and change the track switches - which is the main gameplay after placing the tracks initially. You can plan the best possible layout to reach every point of the map at the beginning or adjust on the fly, both is fun. It shows its age a bit graphics wise but other than that there are no other hurdles. The game is level based so if you're looking for something to build, maintain, expand and expand and expand a rail network maybe take a look at "Railway Empire" instead. But if you'd like short interactive puzzle sessions this is great to play from time to time.

This is one of the most adictive strategy games. The grphics are like a toy game, but in the last levels this game is stressfull, although I recomend it to forget your day. Train Valley 2 is better and have more gameplay.
