12 Minutes was a great pleasure to play, and I would recommend to others to play it if they want to experience a neat take on the Groundhog-day vibes of this game. Many pros to this game, not least of which that the voice acting by Wilhelm DeFoe and others was phenomenal. The overal pacing was good, and the game really rewards you for using critical thinking without spoon-feeding you hints or solutions to the various sequences you need to complete. Indeed, one will find as they play that they memorize how certain sequences will progress so that they can alter the outcomes (often drastically). I do take a few issues with the game: it may be my own impatience, but at certain points of the game it was hard to progress as I had no clue where on the tiny map I needed to go to retrieve the necessary item or information. Perhaps by adding some additional dialogue to trigger, it would have helped with giving the player an idea of where to look. Overall, this was a great game to play. Well worth the money, but could do with a few minor improvements to facilitate a better player experience.

It starts out promising enough but does not take very long at all before the tedium of re-doing the same things over and over take away from what little enjoyment there is to be had. I suppose I expected something else. After about 2 hours I caved in an used a guide to finish the game in an additional hour. If you somehow like the game, there's replay value here. Otherwise it's just an exercise in frustration, and not worth the money or time.

Such a simple setup, yet so much gameplay options to figure out. I'll admit I got frustrated a few times and got stuck, requiring a peek at a walkthrough to get going again. Interesting story told in a completely non-linear way.
