The base game itself is great. I had a lot of fun slowly building up, and beating the game. At the end when you are very powerful, the game can be really fun. There is a lot of grind, which could be turned down. But not enough to complain about. My issue with it, and it's a big one; is all the bugs. Especially one game breaking bug that kept happening to me right before I beat the game. Forcing me to have to try four times to get to the final boss without the bug killing the run. The devs are making a sequel to this game and I hope the new one doesn't carry over the bugs. But this one isn't getting fixed, as they have moved on. My other complaint is the achievements. Nearly half are in the DLC which costs nearly as much as the base game (when on sale) and doesn't add as much content. I didn't get it because it supposedly has even more bugs, which I'm done with. I'd still recommend it, but get it on sale and be ok with having to restart runs.

Very nice roguelike that offers a nice ballance between resource gathering and combat with just enough meta progression to keep things rolling for 15-20 hours.

A mining exploration roguelike with short runs that is well worth a try

I saw the trailers of this and it reminded me a lot of Dome Keeper, a game I really like. The gameplay is similar, you are a miner harvesting resources between waves of enemy attacks where you have to go back to the base and fight off a bunch of alien foes. The twist with Wall World is that your base is a giant mobile spiderbot that you can move from mining site to mining site. Also the whole world is basically on a vertical wall and you have to explore up and down to find new and better resources. Each run has a 20 min time limit and you have to get as many resources as possible in that time. As time goes on the waves of foes get more and more intense. You can do per run upgrades for your spiderbot and your miners suit to make things easier for that run, but between runs you have like a meta progression upgrade system where you can make permanent upgrades that persist between runs. The weird "The whole world is on a giant wall" is an interesting conceit that works well and it makes each playthrough feel like real progress. If you have played roguelites before, you know how this sort of thing works. Its good stuff. I Like Dome Keeper but this does enough different to feel fresh.

Best replayable game. The game is still being updated and is still fun to play. This is the best roguelite you can enjoy at this price.

Fun retro arcade style game WITHOUT the dreaded perma-death!

If you are a fan or the original arcade type games, this might be for you! Main difference is there is no "perma-death" - you lose your crawler very often, but your progress is saved for a new run. So eventually, with enough "stick-to-it" you will "beat" the game :D Some pros: - Really like how it fully supports mouse (a similar game in this genre really only supports KB or controller). - Played it over 50h, and yet to have it crash or find a bug (knock on wood that continues). - Fun retro style graphics. - There is a DLC being created to continue the story.

Good game. Buy.

Stupid fun game, I don't know why, 17 hours of play time already more than justifies the 5 dollars price tag. Seems like it could get too easy after a bit, but I've got my fun out of it already.
