A fun, entertaining TBS solidly based on WH 40k lore with lots of minor flaws

A game with a lot of entertainment potential that still falls short in many aspects. It's still a very enjoyable TBS game with good connection to the WH 40k lore, pleasant graphics and fun tactical missions. The cons are many and I am just going to list some of the glaring ones: the difficulty curve is weird and by midgame everything quickly gets rather easy, tactics repeat themselves a bit much, there is too little opportunity cost in choices as almost nothing ever gets locked; the top strategy layer is basically non-existing, a lot of stuff is just way too random. The pros: I enjoyed the two-tiered level of each mission with an exploration strategy on top of tactical combat. And I enjoy the combat part: just long enough to be challenging

The game is OK as a whole. As for the difficulty of the game, it is difficult in the early stage and easy in the late stage. Especially in the middle and late stage, when the science and technology priest is formed, the difficulty of the game can even be said to be relatively brainless. It is nothing more than crazy plus hymn, crazy folding shield and state explosion. As a result, the middle and late stage of the game is really boring, Even the star God fragment with 120 blood in the hidden level is weak in front of the later formed science and technology teachers, and can even kill in one round, but most war chess games are the same...

I love the Warhammer 40k setting, and the way the studios respected it in the design and implementation of the game.

I LOVED everything about this game: story, challenge, setting, gameplay, ambience & soundtrack. If you like turn-based tactics (i.e. XCOM) and you don't try this, may the Omnissiah forgive you.

This game is great with Warhammer 40k lore, nice music, fun combat, and a nice strategic layer between battles where you can outfit and upgrade your tech priests with all sorts of things. The combat gets easy fairly quickly, since your tech priests vastly outclass the enemies pretty soon, but at least the necrons have numbers on you, so it's fun to blast them all. The game has a lot of difficulty modifiers you can use if that's your thing. The standard experience is good if you like a game with lots of blasting that's not super punishing.

Pros: Perfectly captures the W40K feel with perhaps the best music in all the W40K games; absolutely beautiful visuals without melting your hardware; simple and fun gameplay that is highly replayable. Cons: Lack of small QoL improvements such as UI scaling, zoom-lock (so the camera doesn't always snap back).
