About Warhammer: Vermintide 2

About this game

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is the sequel to Fatshark’s co-op hack and slash action game bringing more vermin and magic.

It’s The End Times!

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a first-person action game set in the fictional End Times Warhammer universe. Players take control of one of five heroes, and must fight against the combined forces of the malevolent Chaos army and swarming Skaven horde. The game features 15 different careers to choose from, each with their own unique abilities and weapons. There is also an improved Loot System which rewards players with weapons, items, crafting material and more after each mission.

Intense Combat Experience

The intense combat experience of Warhammer: Vermintide 2 offers players a thrilling adventure as they battle against hordes of enemies in vicious melee combat. Players must work together with their team members and AI companions to overcome seemingly insurmountable odds. The Heroic Deeds System allows players to face unique scenarios and tests within the game, altering enemy composition, level settings, weapon use and mission objectives as they progress through the game.

Customisable Playstyle

Players have the freedom to customise their playstyle with 15 different careers available for them to choose from. Each career comes with its own talent tree progression that can be upgraded to fit their play style preferences. In addition, the improved Loot System ensures that players are rewarded for their achievements within the game by offering them loot such as weapons, consumables, quests and trinkets at the end of each mission.

"Vermintide 2's combat and level design are so feverishly fun that I'll put up with its bad matchmaking and RPG progression if it means chopping more ratmen in half."

"Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is a game that still largely stands alone. There are few games that offer up this kind of cooperative experience, meaning FatShark has a chance to...

Metro GameCentral

"Even without microtransactions, loot boxes manage to spoil another potentially classic game, although the core combat and co-op atmosphere still shine through."

Great fantasy version of Left 4 Dead

OguNinja

Vermintide 2 is one of the games I come back to because it is so addictive. The replayability is great and is even fun with randos. Dark tide is coming out soon, but give this game a go until then. It's like Left 4 Dead in the D&D world with great characters. They all have personalities and say stuff that's funny. Most all of the dlc is worth it as well except for winds of magic. I'd wait for that one to go on super sale. Just get this game if you're even slightly interested.

Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Review

Staff Review
If you loved the intense horde-fighting action of the first Vermintide game, this will be right up your street. With reimagined systems rewarding players with new gear for their skills with a sword, blade or magic - Warhammer: Vermintide II is a top choice for those looking for a rodent-slaying, action-packed, co-op game. A new horde approaches, bring it on!

IT'S FREE TO KEEP ON STEAM UNTIL THE 7TH, PLEASE UPVOTE TO LET PEOPLE KNOW. THE DLC IS SLIGHTLY CHEAPER HERE, SO GET THAT (I guess except for Wind of Magic, since it's kinda shit), BUT DON'T BUY THE MAIN GAME! IT IS >>FREE TO KEEP<< ON STEAM

Buy it if you loved Vermintide 1!

It is a very good game. If you enjoyed Vermintide 1, you will like this well done sequel! I've racked up many hours in it so far, and that's only focusing on one character class. It has everything beloved about 1 but elevates it to a whole new level with great gameplay and great story

Best Warhammer game.

This is by far the best Warhammer game ever made. As well as being one of the greatest co-op horde shooters to come out recently. It has it's shortcomings but the content and the characters are just amazing. For any fan of co-op horde based shooters this game literally is just too good.

Good game for about 20-30 hours, enemies become stale after a while.

The game boasts both Fun and Challenging gameplay, I got a good 20-30 hours of pure addiction with one playable Character, I would love to see new Characters introduced and would happily pay for them. Unfortunately what the game lacks is more diverse enemies, fighting the same 3 types of enemies (Chaos, Beast, Skaven) became a little stale for me, which ultimate stopped me rating this game any higher than 3 Stars.

One of the best co-op FPS experiences ever.

Honestly, one of the best co-op action FPS of all-time. Taking inspiration from Left 4 Dead, Warhammer Vermintide II opts for hack-and-slash gameplay over shooty guns and trumphs for it. A blast with friends but still enjoyable solo, you don't have to be a Warhammer fan to get hundreds of hours out of this game.

Recommended for multiplayer

Tons of multiplayer fun
Verified purchase
Vermintide is definitely enjoyed best with a couple of friends. I think single player might get a bit boring, but experimenting with the different characters and classes with friends has definitely potential for a lot of fun hours. The gameplay is smooth, combat is tons of fun and the graphics are not bad at all. Would definitely recommend.
