About Wildfire

About this game

Developed by Sneaky Bastards and published by Humble Games.

Wildfire is set in a world where magic has been all but abolished. Play as a character branded a witch who has their home stripped from them and villagers captured and use your elemental powers cleverly to traverse the environments and save villagers in this 2D stealth game!

Branded a Witch

The villainous forces of the Arch Duchess have branded you a witch and fear your elemental prowess; now, they'll chase you through numerous environments, including lush forests, deep caves, over frozen mountaintops, and much more, to bring about your destruction.

Cleverly Use the Elements

Use numerous elemental powers to create wholly unique pathways through levels and ensure you can outmanoeuvre the Arch Duchess' forces — freeze water (and enemies inside), set the world ablaze, and use the earth to create concealment or new paths. Be wary, however, as magic unmonitored can consume anything — even you!

Outsmart Your Enemies

Use your witch powers to outsmart the Arch Duchess' armies that would sooner see you dead — your survival depends on your wit, so you alone can ensure victory.

Bring Your Coven

Witches travel in covens, and by connecting a gamepad, you can play cooperatively with another friend with a single Steam PC key! Use your magical expertise to create new paths and work together to save the villagers from your foes!

Overall: Solid Stealth Game. The element manipulation is a fun way to add complexity to the game. If you like sneaking through the level - type games, then you'll like this. It doesn't transcend boundaries though. 3/4 Game Feel: Controls feel a bit odd at first, but I got used to it quickly. Mechanics: The element manipulation is key in this game - use elements in different ways to achieve your goal. Some very funny results can occur. Graphics: Pixel - streamlined to help you know what you can interact with. Somewhat simple. Music: Good music - pairs well with what's going on at the time. Nothing revolutionary. Plot: I guess there's a story in there. Bobcats: Yes, this game has bobcats.

really fun puzzle/platformer. Not super hard but entertaining. It has Co-Op mode which would be super fun if I had the opportunity to play it.
