This update adds new cars, introduces Watkins Glen and Paul Ricard tracks recreated from a laser scan survey, and debuts a free camera mode for cinematic exploration, replays, and content creation, with further enhancements planned.

It also updates DLSS to version 4.5 and continues improvements to core systems like track limits and dynamic track behaviour, building a scalable foundation for the project’s future.

Version 0.5 introduces Free Camera mode, letting players explore the car, environment, and action from new angles. It enables capturing replays and screenshots or videos using external tools. The mode is still in development and more features, such as photo-mode features, will follow at a later stage based on community feedback.

Graphics & Technology Updates – DLSS 4.5

0.5 includes an update to DLSS 4.5, continuing the work on performance scalability and image quality across a wider range of hardware configurations. The aim remains consistent: make steps towards the best quality to performance ratio.

Gameplay Improvements and Ongoing Development

UI: Car Selection Flow & Multiplayer Player Car, Controls Page

Thanks to an improved car selection UI and backend multiplayer updates, server admins and the Daily Racing Portal can now define eligible cars more precisely—down to version and visuals—allowing players to join Daily Races using their own tuned cars and body colours.

Track Limits and Blue Flags

Track limit penalties can feel harsh or unpredictable, so in 0.5 we’re continuing work on a time-gain evaluation system to better match penalties with actual advantage. This feature is still being tested and will roll out fully once it meets competitive standards. Blue flag logic has also been introduced to help drivers better read race conditions.

Shared Memory improvements

Shared memory issues have been fixed to match previous titles, prevent hardware shaking during loading, and restore full data quality for motion rigs and related devices.

Dynamic Track: rework underway

Dynamic Track is being reworked to improve rubber buildup, water behaviour, multiplayer support, and server sync. Version 0.5 brings rubbering visual shader upgrades, while core improvements will arrive later—consider this an essential infrastructure update with more visible results coming soon.
