A lot of time passed since the fall of Thalia and it seemed that nothing would break the silence of the dead city. However, a glimmer of hope appeared. In Thalia, a spark of resistance against Utor’s cruel tyranny still flickers. The task of turning that spark into a conflagration that will consume the Utorian invader falls into your hands.
You and your party are the only hope in the sea of shadows. However, Utor is not the only opponent. Powerful magic that got out of control during the bombardment of the city has transformed parts of the city which now terrify not only the hiding Taernians but also Utorian armies.

Apart from epic, world-changing events, you will also encounter elements of difficult everyday life, like giving away your daughter in exchange for coal or helping a beaten prostitute...
You will experience many plot twists where, for example, during an investigation, you are conducting, you will find out that the ghosts haunting the well are just a bunch of drunkards faced with the economic realities of poverty (no access to the local moonshine).

Most games of this genre are based on a system of classes and skills... Broken Ranks is no exception, but the uniqueness of every class lets you gradually discover the tactical depths of the combat system. You will become a full-blown strategist in no time! You will be able to choose one of the seven classes: Barbarian, Fire Mage, Archer, Voodoo, Sheed, Druid, or Knight.
TACTICAL, TURN-BASED COMBAT SYSTEM
An entertaining battle - that is what many players enjoy the most! Combining turn-based combat with a clock that counts down the round time resulted in a very dynamic system.
