There is nothing wrong with this game, it's just that there are many many other - better - colonysims out there. Necesse for example costs about as much while offering a lot more content.
Paleon throws you onto a map, there isn't even a cutscene where your timemachine breaks, you are just given a handful of people and are meant to go and do stuff. There is no tutorial of any kind and you just have to try and figure things out on your own. it's not too difficult, especially when you are familiar with the genre but i wondered the whole time if i had missed something important.
The gameplay is a lot of grind, a lot of watching and doing nothing. The game is not as transparent as i would have wanted it to be, i often had issues with food and could never reach a self sustaining village; i often would have liked to have more options when crafting (to always make new tools when there are only 5 left in storage or something) or more information on why my people were not using certain workbenches, etc.
In the end, i made it - i build a new time machine and went back "to the future". The timemachine vanished and that was it. No cutscene just a "game finished". I had kinda expected more and all this made the game feel very low effort in the end.
