About Eldritch

About this game

Eldritch is a first-person action game from Minor Key Games inspired by roguelikes, immersive sims, and H. P. Lovecraft. Minor Key Games was formed in 2013 by game industry veterans and twin brothers David Pittman and J. Kyle Pittman, who have previously worked on Borderlands, Borderlands 2, BioShock 2, and The Bureau: XCOM Declassified.

Take the role of a 1920s-era investigator in a Cthulhu Mythos-inspired storyline, plunging you into a world populated with terrible cosmic beings beyond the realm of human comprehension. Players can wield both pistols and spells in procedurally generated levels, allowing for a different experience every time you play. Eldritch's non-linearity and open-ended play styles are influenced by Looking Glass Studios’ legendary work in immersive sims.

The game features a form of permanent death in which all items are lost, although money that has been stored in the bank is retained. Unlock "New Game Plus" upon beating the game, where enemies become stronger, helpful items become rarer, and gameplay shifts to a more stealth game-inspired mechanic.

Key Features:

  • Unearth ancient secrets and find your way to freedom!
  • Sneak, fight, and explore strange worlds!
  • Invoke mystical powers to augment your play style!
  • Randomly generated levels provide fresh challenges and opportunities!
  • Unlock shortcuts to jump directly to deeper dungeons!

Now includes the free Eldritch: Mountains of Madness expansion!

  • Explore a 10-story dungeon beneath the mountains of Antarctica!
  • Face frightening new monsters!
  • Wield new weapons, powers, and tools!
  • Uncover grave secrets in the depths and live to tell the tale!
