Thailand's unique ghost and god culture gives this game a strong sense of mystery and spirituality. The settings such as hungry ghosts, sentry ghosts, and hidden ghosts really stood out to me, and these settings help reduce the repetitive feel of the game levels. For example, in this game, you don't necessarily have to look for keys or switches to pass the level, but also find tributes to feed the hungry ghosts, light incense to attract the sentinel ghosts, extinguish candles to break the charm formation, and so on. These settings are presented to the player little by little, constantly attracting the player's curiosity. This I think is better than "Escape" did. This is one of the best horror games to come out in recent memory. Highly recommended. It takes a little bit to get used to the hiding mechanics, but once you get used to them, the game just flies by. Interesting story, the only bad thing is that it ends on a cliffhanger! Gotta play Episode 2!
