To celebrate Monster Hunter Wilds hitting 10 million sales, Capcom just dropped a free Version 1.0 update. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect in this update, which is about more than just a bug-squashing patch; it's packed with gameplay enhancements and tweaks to make Wilds even more exciting.

• New monsters or subspecies to help you flex those battle moves and tactics
• Gameplay tweaks, particularly around combat and battle flow, to make this smoother
• New gear or weapon adjustments which look to be great to help out those early game quests feel less grindy
• QoL improvements or fixes aimed at improving the game UI and tutorials.

Don’t Button Mash - as tempting as it might be to hit everything to get those combos, fighting is an art, and it is all about timing; learn the weapons, their fighting rhythm, and don’t spam. 

Choose Your Weapon Wisely - be smart and choose those early weapon combinations that are quick to master; sword and shield, long sword and great sword. Visually not as cool looking as some of the higher-level weapons, but master these and you’ll have solid basics for monster takedowns.

Don’t Skip School - we can’t stress it enough, the training area is essential, and here to get you up to speed before you head out into the Forbidden Lands.

Make Friends - there’s nothing wrong with some alone time, but Monster Hunter comes into its own when you team up.  Join up and make friends, and taking down some of those bigger beasts and quests will be much more enjoyable.
