Beautiful and reliable

Feels so nice to dance with those dingleberries who think they can outsword me. My puny shield is magnanimity incarnate. And, like the game, it is rough edged but beautiful and reliable.

Gothic-like, small open world, decent fantasy story

I've finished the game many years ago. It's a Gothic ripoff buf pretty decent. The story was pretty good though combat wasn't better than in Gothic, it had its challenges and mostly RPG elements that affected our main three combat styles meant a great deal. We could join different factions but the ultimate goal was the same. We started off stranded and discovered risen temples on our journeys around a rather small but pretty vertically sizeable island. Some enemies strongly resembled those from Gothic and mechanics were also taken over, so to everyone playing that series, this will be rather close to heart. It's an interesting fantasy world but nowadays pretty dated looking game with rather clunky combat at times. I'd go more into details but it wasn't as memorable as I thought it would be. It's also pretty short but I'd still recommend it because the setting of the island inhabitants is quite unique.
