Verlet Swing

A peculiar game set in a dreamlike series of environments where you swing about by latching onto objects in the environment. The goal is to swing oneself to the glowing blue exit of each level without hitting either the murky liquid that forms the floor, or the other objects. Unfortunately, this delightfully peculiar game is somewhat let down by rather difficult to master controls and at times seemingly arbitrarily poor hit box design on your grapple's targets. The result is that you occasionally feel your deaths - while brief, to the game's credit - occasionally seem somewhat arbitrary and unrelated to your own failings. This is disappointing, as the key element in any swinging gameplay is the all-important sense of flow. Nonetheless, this is certainly a unique game worth experiencing firsthand. Feel free to consider this a cautious recommendation, provided the game is available at a notable discount.
