The Horus Heresy: Lion El'Jonson: Lord of the First
Included in the Warhammer The Horus Heresy Lion El'Jonson Collection
About: Each primarch is an exemplary being, derived from the Emperor's own genetic stock to embody a facet of His personality. Their powers are unfathomable, but only one of them is the First.
Lion El’Jonson is the paragon of what it is to be a primarch. His Legion, pre-eminent for most of their long history, typify the virtues of temperance, pride, and martial excellency that the Lion embodies.
They are the Emperor’s last line and final sanction. They are His Dark Angels. Now, while the Emperor gathers His mightiest sons for an assault on Ullanor Prime, the Lord of the First instead draws his Legion to the farthest reaches of the known galaxy, seeking to subdue a single rebellious world.
Is this but another example of the Lion’s infamous pride, or is there more afoot amidst that graveyard of empires that is the Ghoul Stars, more than the Lion will share even with his own sons?
Warhammer 40,000: Mephiston: Blood of Sanguinius
Included in the Warhammer 40,000 Dante & Mephiston Collection
About: The shrine world of Divinatus Prime has become lost to the light of the Astronomican and no ship can piece its veil. Only the Lord of Death himself, Blood Angels Chief Librarian Mephiston, has any hope of discerning the fate of this once pious world.
After enacting a powerful blood ritual, Mephiston and an honour guard of his fellow Blood Angels reach the stricken shrine world to find it seized by religious civil war. Each faction fights for dominance of a potent artefact, the Blade Petrific, said to be wrought by the Emperor Himself.
Yet there is more at work here than a mere ideological schism, for Mephiston believes Divinatus Prime could offer answers to how he became the Lord of Death, he who resisted the Black Rage, and possibly even a way to end the curse of ‘the Flaw’ in all Blood Angels.
The Horus Heresy: Know No Fear
Included in The Horus Heresy: Calth and The Underworld War Collection
About: Unaware of the wider Heresy and following the Warmaster’s increasingly cryptic orders, Roboute Guilliman returns to Ultramar to muster his Legion for war against the orks massing in the Veridian system. Without warning, their supposed allies in the Word Bearers Legion launch a devastating invasion of Calth, scattering the Ultramarines fleet and slaughtering all who stand in their way.
This confirms the worst scenario Guilliman can imagine - Lorgar means to settle their bitter rivalry once and for all. As the traitors summon foul daemonic hosts and all the forces of Chaos, the Ultramarines are drawn into a grim and deadly struggle in which neither side can prevail.
Warhammer 40,000: Hero of the Imperium
Included in the Warhammer 40,000: Ciaphas Cain Collection
About: In the war-torn future of the 41st Millennium Commissar Ciaphas Cain, hero of the Imperium, is respected by his peers and an inspiration to his men - at least that’s what the propaganda would have you believe. The reality is very different, for Ciaphas is simply looking for an easy life and a way to stay out of peril.
However, fate has a habit of throwing him into the deadliest situations, and luck (mixed with self preservation) always manages to pull him through and onto the loftiest of pedestals. To survive Commissar Cain must dodge, bluff and trick his way out of trouble, even if it increases his status beyond his control!
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The Realmgate Wars: Volume 1
Included in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: The Realmgate Wars Collection
About: For five centuries, Chaos has tormented the Mortal Realms. Ancient portals known as realmgates stand defiled by the armies of the Dark Gods, preventing the forces of order from moving freely between the realms.
The lands are broken, their populations enslaved, hunted for sport or infected with unholy plague. All hope of salvation was thought lost - until now. For Sigmar has been watching and making ready, and those destined to suffer his retribution will finally know the might of the God-King’s wrath as he unleashes his greatest weapon: the Stormcast Eternals.
Reborn heroes clad in god-forged armour, Sigmar’s golden warriors descend to liberate the realms from the yoke of Chaos. The Realmgate Wars have begun...
Black Pyramid
Included in the Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Gardus and The Hallowed Knights Collection
About: As cities rise across the Mortal Realms, Lord-Celestant Gardus Steel Soul leads his Hallowed Knights into darkest Shyish, hoping to gain a foothold for the forces of Azyr. But as the foundations of a new citadel are laid, the Hallowed Knights find themselves beset by enemies both living and dead - including the Mortarch of Night, Mannfred Von Carstein.
