About this DLC
Lead The Punished into battle and turn pain into power!
About This Content
Turn pain into power with The Punished, a new clan joining the fight in Monster Train 2! Led by Archus, Darkness Incarnate, The Punished introduce a new risk-reward play style built around damaging your own units, harnessing their suffering, and turning it against your enemies.
The Punished Clan
Once an angel of Heaven, Archus spent his life in the shadow of his older brother, Seraph. Overlooked by Seraph and abandoned by Fel, Archus attempted to overthrow his brother in a desperate bid to forge his own path. For his treachery, he was cast into Heaven's Maw, where he discovered the strength he had sought his entire life: the power to turn pain into might. Now, Archus leads The Punished into battle with a new creed: through suffering comes power.
Turn your own units into weapons by intentionally damaging them to unleash powerful abilities and create devastating combinations. Punish triggers activate when units are damaged by friendly spells or abilities, while Bloodshed rewards you whenever a friendly unit takes damage on the same floor.
Make your enemies share in the suffering with Chained, causing them to take damage alongside your own units. Protect key allies with Tenacious, preventing friendly damage from delivering the killing blow and opening the door to increasingly dangerous strategies.
The Monolith
Sacrifice today for greater power tomorrow. During battle, spend Ember and discard cards to offer Tribute to the mysterious Monolith, increasing your Devotion throughout the run.
As the Monolith grows stronger, so does your clan. Higher levels of Devotion empower certain cards and grant newly summoned units stacks of Zeal, increasing their Attack and maximum Health.
Build your devotion, embrace the pain, and discover just how much punishment your forces can endure on the path to Heaven's downfall.
