About Afterparty

About this game

Developed and published by Night School Studio.

After meeting their end on Earth, Milo and Lola — the two protagonists in Afterparty — find themselves in the eternity of Hell. However, there is a catch: outdrink Satan, and he'll allow you to go back to Earth. Can you do it?

Build Relationships

Hell is full of quirky and unique characters that you'll be able to interact with; you'll need plenty of friends if you intend to outdrink Satan, so it's time to get started! Talk to this vast cast of characters, uncover their history, and make new friends in your (hopefully) short time in Hell!

Party in the Underworld

Explore a vast expanse of islands connected by the River Styx! Each area has unique characters for you to meet and befriend and demonic activities to partake in, such as beer pong, dance-offs, and chugging competitions!

Some Famous Names

Starring numerous famous names for your favourite characters, you'll be able to listen to Janina Gavankar as Lola, Khoi Dao as Milo, Ashly Burch as Sam, Erin Yvette as Wormhorn, and Dave Fennoy as Satan! Additionally, listen to the gorgeous soundtrack by SCNTFC, the composer behind the music for Oxenfree!

worth a play!

I bought this as a 'left over' game to get an extra discount. It's actually quite fun! It's for sure worth a play if you like story driven games. This game is about two newly graduated university students. Only they died and have arrived in hell. They want to leave there as soon as possible and get back to earth. However this game isn't what you'd expect. You have to party your way out.

Afterparty is a game made by the creators of Oxenfree. It combines stunning art with a very catchy story, which combined, they give the game a very interesting lore, making the game very special. I played the full game and totally loved it! Also recommend the game made before this one, which is Oxenfree.

Relaxing and poignant, with incredible natural dialogue

As a big fan of the developer's previous game, Oxenfree, I came into this with strong expectations that Afterparty confidently met. The visual style is an absolute treat. The actors voice the characters wonderfully with a subdued mumblecore feel to the dialogue (one of the main characters is also voiced by Janina Gavanakar, who portrayed Shiva on mumblecore-styled comedy series The League). The story is a fun mixture of mundane and fantastical, with a surprising number of poignant moments. Highly recommended to those who enjoy a game with a driving mature narrative and chill, minimal "gameplay" elements.

A story based game about outdrinking Satan

Ultimate Luki

The game is mainly story based. It has a couple of mini games but its mainly about the story. The story is intriguing. You play as a couple of friends: Lola and Milo. You just graduated and are celebrating becoming an adult, but then you die and go to Hell. You don't remember how you died but you are convinced that it was a mistake. So ask around and they tell you that there is only one way to get out of Hell and that's by outdrinking Satan. Yep you heard me right. That is your main objective. I liked the story and this game despite a couple of bugs I encountered and the fact that there aren't many mini games you just walk around and talk to people and demons like 95% of the time.
