About this game
Company of Heroes is a World War II real-time strategy game developed by Relic Entertainment and published by Sega.
Head To Europe
Controls a squad of U.S. army soldiers during the Normandy Campaign of 1944. The game is set during the Second World War's Western Front conflict, specifically in the Normandy region of France. During gameplay, the player is able to command infantry and military vehicles to epic victory against seemingly impossible odds.
Control Your Units
Vehicle types include half-tracks, Sherman tanks, and bazooka teams amongst others. Projectiles such as grenades and tank shells are realistically simulated, capable of bouncing off surfaces before detonating. Unit types are realistically portrayed; for example, suppressing fire will cause surviving infantry unit members to duck down and seek cover. When infantry squads are suppressed, their rate of fire decreases significantly. Moreover, soldiers will retreat from battle if they sustain too many casualties or encounter too much enemy fire.
Play One Of The Greats
Company of Heroes has been widely praised as one of the best real-time strategy games ever made. The game's signature feature is its "line of sight" mechanic, which realistically portrays how troops can only see and engage with enemies that are within their line of sight. This creates a unique and challenging gameplay experience that has players tactically manoeuvring their troops on the battlefield.
