Still a good game, but the mapping controls that were cute on the Nintendo DS are now burdensome playing on a PC or Steamdeck (as in my case). Basically it's an old school dungeon crawl game, a genre that used to be popular in the 80s. It's a solid example, but most modern versions have automap. Because it was originally a DS title, they thought it would be neat to use the second screen and stylus as a way to map functions. Some old games would literally come with a pad of grid sheets for this. So it was a throwback and it worked. But it's annoying here.
