It is a very basic racer and the AI could really use some extra work, but it does have a lot of potential. The other drivers crash a lot and it's too easy to leave them way behind. Because of this, the games whole combat mechanic is pretty much wasted because the only time I got close enough to the other racers to battle was when I was lapping them. I really like the graphics, I think it looks amazing - especially the Japan city levels, which have really nice lighting. The problem really is with the gameplay. I wish it had difficulty levels (so I could make the game a bit more challenging) and/or rubber banding on the AI to keep them close so you can have all-out combat with them. Also, maybe a little more variation to the races. As it is now, I feel like it's not a game I could fully recommend. I picked it up here on Fanatical for just a couple of dollars, though, so I'm actually pretty happy with that. For less than the price of the coffee, I had some fun with racing - albeit basic racing - so if you can get it on super sale as I did, and you like all types of racers like I do, maybe it'll be worth it for you, too? Oh, one odd thing is that there's no way to close the game (!) - I believe it was ported from a Switch version and they just forgot to add a quit button *sigh*. ALT+F4 to quit! I hope that if ever there's a Speed 4 they can fix some of the problems this one has, because there's definitely potential for a really fun game here.. but they just didn't quite reach it yet.

I am not a real fan of this kind of games, but Speed 3: Grand Prix is totally a very funny, speed and enjoyable title, mostly very pleauring to play with friends! Very suggested!
