About Subnautica: Below Zero

About this game

The world of Subnautica is back! Jump straight into the critically acclaimed ocean to find new environments to study with your Subnautica: Below Zero Steam PC key. It’s quite frosty around here, so you should probably stay warm with a nice warm hot chocolate - warm up next to a fire because otherwise you’re going to freeze to death!

PERILOUS MISSION FOR FAMILY

Your sister is missing. Travel to the arctic region of Planet 4546B and discover why Alterra left in such a hurry. Swim below the surface, be enraptured by the crystals, climb up snowy peaks and more. You can even research alien lifeforms, encountering such entities as the Titan Holefish, the Pengwings and the terrifying Shadow Leviathan. Of course, along the way you’ll be trying to find out more and more clues on where your sister went and why she left so rapidly. Welcome back to the world of Subnautica, diver. Stay safe.

ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM

Below Zero is being created by Unknown Worlds, a small studio that traces its roots back to the 2002 Half-Life mod Natural Selection. It is the same studio that created the original Subnautica. A worthy follow-up to one of my personal favorite games for VR. As good or better than the first.

Excellent! I was hesitant because the VR support from the original (which was wonderfully immersive even using a regular controller) wasn't officially added in. Thankfully it was modded in by the community. The VR mod is at least as functional as the original game. The original was one of my favorite VR experiences so far and this is more of the same. The first time a Leviathan snaps at you is terrifying enough on the screen and it is doubly so in VR.

Pretty decent sequel to the Subnautica game, feels like it has nice balance between exploration, survival and grind. The air mechanic is sometimes annoying, as there are no oxygen plants in some of the sections, so that means death if you wander there before getting enough upgrades.
