The Innsmouth case is not what you'd expect from a Lovecraft story. The humor is, in my humble opinion, ill-fitting and bad (it's basically teenager humor like "haha guy in the creepy town in called GARY", "haha the pretty woman's child is UGLY", "haha sleep with the old woman because you were not able to get to the hotel on time". Every character in this game is awkward, maybe that's on purpose idk. The story is weird and often doesn't make sense. You are looking for a lost child and will find her in the last place she should have been. You can meet a number of grim ends but most of the 27 possible endings are boring and require specific kinds of idiot to get there. I had to look up a guide to reach all of them and had to retry multiple times to get to some of them still. I think it's interesting to experience the story in this kind of way and make your own choices but i think it wasn't done well. This game does nothing to acutally bring across the subtle kind of creepy that is conveyed in the short story, it is not serious and at the same time tries way too hard. On deep, deep sale it might be worth a try, but one playthrough is perhaps 30-60 minutes and you only really need/ want to replay if you are going for all achievements and that felt like a waste of time, sadly.

It was alright but not as good as I hoped. It's hard to get different outcomes

Exactly as it appears in the demo on steam, a nice Cthulhu visual novel with many paths and options. Creepy but not scary.
