I got an email saying that if I reviewed this game I bought but have yet to play, that I could win a shopping spree. So hey, why not? So far the game has been amazing. It has sat in my Steam catalog playing well with my hundreds of other games I've bought but not yet played. The Fanatical shopping experience was just as good as ever and this was a historically low price for Steam at least, according to Steamdb. Thanks for the cheap games now please give me some free ones for completing this review. Cheers.

game looks and plays pretty good, has a good premise and an interesting story. EVERY character is terrible though and their entire character revolves around them getting what they want constantly, and if you slightly don't give in, they hate you. the mechanics are really simple after you start playing and there is no difficulty in the game if you play as intended, the game ends up feeling fairly shallow after about a dozen hours and you have your base mostly set up.

Generally a great game, but I'm giving it one star for what I believe is false advertising. The "Complete Edition" does not include any of its available DLC as seen on Steam. The DLC as part of a bundle can only be gotten through the "Premium Edition".
To be clear, from what I've read, it's not super groundbreaking DLC or anything, but it's the point that I've never seen a Complete Edition without all of its DLC before.
Furthermore, at least from what I can see on the Epic Game Store version, the game is just called "Chernobylite". There doesn't appear to be a "Complete Edition" version.
If this version of the game was just called "Chernobylite" like it used to be, I would be happy to recommend, but I won't with its current title.

Bought for steam deck, but it runs pretty terribly at the train at the start 17FPS and in certain sections, but after it runs a lot better. Other than that it plays nice and seems cool.

It loves to hear itself talk and will drone on and on about the past before the Chernobyl events while only letting a sliver of the current situation play out. Gameplay relies a bit too much on stealth and punishes the player for engaging in combat with the psyche meter being affected, it's giving the player a choice whether to or not to kill enemies but ultimately it doesn't matter because the story has certain choices that must be made and choosing one or the other will affect your standing with the teammates, you can't please everybody. Those choices come to head in the final cutscene that's practically copied from the STALKER games. All of this boils down into a game that's about 24 hours long that, if I have to summarize, at least looks good. It has Ray Tracing so that's a plus.
