History Matters
The Battle of Gettysburg lasted from the 1st to the 3rd of July and resulted in the largest number of casualties of any battle during the American Civil War. It was also a turning point in the war, with the Union army of General George Meade defeating the Confederate army of General Robert E. Lee. The first day ended with the Confederates in control of Gettysburg. Day two saw the Union winning at Little Round Top and Culp's Hill. The third day ended with a disaster for the Confederates, with their failed charge at Pickett's Charge.
Win Over Three Days
This game offers historically accurate play, with three-day 'battles' and five scenarios covering different parts of the Civil War such as Furr Farm and Marsh Creek. There are different types of artillery, cavalry, and infantry units, as well as different categories of generals and formations. Players can also take advantage of advanced tactical features including day and night effects, map zoom, strategic movement, flank attacks, and ammo levels. With all of these features, players can expect hours of gameplay.
