About Cult of the Lamb

About this game

Take control of a lamb that has been saved from sacrifice by The One Who Waits. In order to repay this eternal debt, deliver your soul to this ominous stranger and offer to raise a cult under their name. After all, what better way to show gratitude than to give them a following?

Purge the Land of False Prophets

There is only one true Word, and it is the Word of The One Who Waits; all others are non-believers and blasphemers. Engage in real-time action combat as you purge the land of these false prophets. Non-believers shall perish at your mighty hand; only those who follow your faith shall remain.

Explore an Ever-changing World

No two playthroughs are ever the same in this roguelike adventure. Delve into lands of false prophets, annihilate them, and then jump into new lands in this ever-changing world filled with blasphemers.

Spread the One True Word

Raise a cult from the ground up and teach the one true Word to all who are willing to listen; indoctrinate all new followers into your cult back home by interacting with them, changing their appearance, and even offering them a new name! Give daily sermons to siphon power from your followers and watch their faith grow ever-stronger.

Tend to Your Flock

To keep your flock ever-faithful, you must satisfy them. Grow your small community into a sprawling woodland cult, feed them by throwing grand feasts that will ensure their survival and loyalty, offer them gifts from the lands of the non-believers, and engage yourself in unholy matrimony with one of the followers. Keep your flock happy, and your shrine will glow with their ever-burning faith. A happy flock is a loyal flock. Fail them, however, and you'll need to...

Cleanse the Defectors

Unhappy followers will turn on your cult and attempt to persuade the others into defection. Your numbers mustn't dwindle, but how will you deal with these non-believers? Gently re-educate these defectors to earn their favour once again or feed them to the gods and set an example for those that think they can turn on the cult; it's up to you to decide what kind of cult leader you'll be.

I Have Been Converted

After putting in a 35+ hours into this game (on easy mode), I have decided that I love it. I completed it with 100% achievements since there are none that are difficulty locked, which is nice for people like me. The animation is cute and cuddly while also being dark and twisted. I look forward to the DLC that the developers potentially are working on.

Dark and twisted fun, with cuteness

Absolutely love this game, there are some really dark and twisted elements that I love which is expertly counter-balanced with the cuteness of the characters. Small Indies like this are showing up the big AAA game companies when it comes to outright enjoyment and what makes a video game fun.

This is one of the best Roguelike games out there and should be an immediate consideration for anyone who enjoys the genre. Great combat, incredible visual style, and an overall super-satisfying gameplay loop. Also runs fantastic on Steam Deck.
