Good for veterans and new players.

I've been playing Farming Simulator since 2013. Bought FS15, FS17 (wanted to skip it at first but bought it while I was waiting for Cattle and Crops) and played FS19 for free (thanks for EGS for the game giveaway). Most of time, I usually consider the new versions of this game pointless and only cash grab for those who already own an older version of the game. This feeling is due to the lack of noticeable improvements between versions. So far, I felt only twice that it was worthy to pick up the newest version of the game: FS15 and FS22. Why? Because they were the 2 versions that contained really something new "gameplay wise". FS15 was adding forestry and FS22 is adding seasons, production chains, terrain tools (for better farm designs) and greenhouses. The other games like FS17 and FS19 were only really adding new types of cultures which doesn't really affect the gameplay... If they were adding other new features (like placeable buildings and horses in FS19), they were so clunky or lacked depth that those said new features were not good reasons (at least for me) to pay full price again for the game. So yeah, FS22 is one of those versions were I would recommend the game to everyone: new players and veterans. Just like FS15, there are enough major improvements to add to the gameplay and fun. I expect the next FS game to fall in same category as FS17 and 19 which is "skip it or buy cheap". Only time will tell if I'm wrong or not. Happy farming and Happy holidays to y'all! Stay safe out there!

This game was very enjoyable. As with any simulator game, a certain amount of time and patience is necessary to understand the full extent of this game. You can experience this game in many different ways through the use of mods or by simply making changes in the options to cater to the kind of experience you want. Examples would be how fast you want time to pass or if you want to risk damaging your crops. You can turn on or off a variety of options. This game does not hold your hand.. My partner and I both jumped in completely blind but had to look up some information online to fully understand how certain mechanics worked. However there are simple explanations in game that could serve some players. I am impressed with the amount of depth that is in this game, coming from someone who has no prior knowledge to farming in general and I learned a lot. Some of these included, which crops to grown during each season, the steps involved specific to each crop, maintenance of farms, the manufacturing/delivery process and a lot more.

Absolutely a step up from FS17/19. Unlike FS19, the graphical improvements you can actually see and it's not just increased saturation. The beacon lights are far better than they were in FS19 same with most lighting and especially nighttime, which actually gets pitch black out now. The sounds especially were a pleasant surprise, even the simple additions like the new trailer creaking when you unload grain sound so good ingame. The default american map is actually very well made, and actually FEELS like the midwest, which is a nice change from the default farm sim maps not being very good. The french map in my opinion isn't that great, however. The only slight downside right now about FS22 is the lack of third party maps on the Modhub. I'm sure with time that'll change, but quite honestly i'm happy with the $30 i spent on this game considering i expected no improvements from FS19 (which was a disappointment to me coming from 17.) 9/10

Very relaxing and surprisingly in depth simulation that lets you use all sorts of farm equipment. The graphics are amazing and I can tell the developer is making great strides in supporting this product as the first patch 1.2 made huge improvements to the game. Unfortunately, if you are new to the series like I am, some of the mechanics are not well explained in-game and I had to resort to searching youtube videos and consulting their Farming Simulator Academy website (which was still under construction) to try and piece out details on how to accomplish certain tasks in the game. Personally I enjoyed learning about farming and doing this research but I can see others bored or not having the patience for this type of sandbox game. However, where I think Farm Simulator 22 excels is allowing mods that allow individuals to expand and personalize their game to their liking and makes this a sandbox worth playing in.

I picked this up because of some friends insisting I come farm with them, and have wound up sinking a lot of time into it in multiplayer. The mod community helps alleviate a lot of my base complaints with the game (getting the advanced GPS mod immediately fixed most of my gripes), and there's stuff to do that doesn't involve lapping a tractor in a field. Logging is fun, and you can set up a production chain starting with chickens (eggs), sheep (wool), and cows (milk), If you're big on farming it's probably worth full price, if you're hesitant like I was then it's a good sale pick-up.
