About Education

About this game

Developed and published by Tonguç  Bodur.

Explore Bart Blake's forgotten school traumas in this short atmospheric horror game about confronting the past.

Unravel the Mysteries

In Education, you'll go back 15 years ago and explore six different levels. Through these, the story and mysteries of what happened over a decade ago will come to light.

Atmospheric

The core aspect of Education is its atmospheric feel. From the music to the setting and the story — those who most seek to experience the mood of it all will be very satisfied.

Behind Every Door

Explore behind every single door to uncover the entirety of the story, including the ones that have locked their mysteries away. Whilst you're discovering a way to unlock the secrets, find students' diaries and old newspapers to understand the narrative more.

Collectibles

To make the exploration even more rewarding, you'll find collectibles scattered around, which you'll only find through careful exploration.

After having to write a lot of negative reviews for Bodur games in the past few days, I have to admit that I didn't expect much from "education", especially after looking at the very mixed reviews. I have to admit, though, that I really liked playing it. The atmosphere is quite good, the game is short and linear. It's also nice to walk through this abandoned school, it's well designed and actually feels like it once was a school (other Bodur games have often felt quite empty and lifeless imo). While the story is very constructed and nothing too special it is told and build up in a nice way (you keep finding diaries and other texts). The game is by no means perfect, some of the puzzles were a bit weird (thinking of the two zombies scenes here), some didn't make sense at all and were just a tool to give you something to do. Maybe I am biased here because I really want to like the games and after the past few disaster Bodur games this felt a lot better, idk. Maybe grab it on sale if you're interested, half an hour playtime is all you get.
