I thought the game was fun. Despite the controversial launch, the entire package is definitely a step up from JC3. The complete edition is definitely the goto version since it includes all the fun mechanics in DLCs (questionable but the previous entry did the same thing).
You can wingsuit, grapple, jetpack, hoverboard, ride a mech, drive cars from Death Race (the one with Jason Statham) and even spawns flying demons. The story is dumb but serves as nice background dressing for your mayhem. Definitely pick it up if you want more JC3.

Not quite as good as Just Cause 3. The hoverboard is fun, but it just seems to miss the mark on storyline and mission objectives.
Some of the voice acting is just terrible too. In the end, it's a decent game, but doesn't quite live up to the expectations of the franchise.

Even though Just Cause 4 can be fun and enjoyable it does not supersede Just Cause 3 and even Just Cause 2. I bought this game knowing of the issues so I could complete my collection. So for me it was just about another location to play around with since I played the heck out of JC2 & JC3. But sadly its just not up to snuff. Missions are boring and lack the "Just Cause" feel to explore and make big explosions. Graphically speaking, it sets the bar very low compared to the previous installments. Even JC2's beautiful crystal water was leagues better looking than the very flat muddy water of JC4, and JC2 is from 2010.
I'd only purchase this if the price is right and you want to complete your Just Cause collection. Very lackluster compared to its predecessors.
