Creating your own character to have a custom career? Awesome! The lack of ability to practice whenever you want to so you can get a feel for your new character? Bollocks. I'm enjoying the MyCareer story mode, but I literally used the first several games of completely sucking, and ALT+F4 to kill the game (no better method I've found at this point) and restart it until I could get acceptable results. If I was on console, I'd probably would have thrown the game in the trash. Once getting past that point, then researching tips on the web, it has become a sometimes-enjoyable game. My biggest issue is that the shot meter lags and is not accurate a lot of the time. Sometimes you'll complete a shot before it even shows up, the delay for it to pop up is so bad. Even when it does, the latency causes it to give frustratingly inaccurate information. I think the trick is to get a good enough feel for your player so that you don't need it, eventually.
