Great Silent Hill game. Not as good as Silent Hill 2 or 3 but better than most of the rest.

It's not Silent Hill 2 or 3, but the ambiance is great nonetheless. It's much better than Silent Hill The Room or Shattered Memories. Graphics are great since it's an Xbox360 / PS3 era game and could actually be rereleased nowadays just by increasing the textures resolution. Also, note that you CAN'T buy this game either on Steam or GOG (there isn't even a store page for this game) but the serial will correctly activate on Steam and let you download it. So this is really a good buy here. Now, if you could get Silent Hill 2 and 3 for purchase here, that would be great, because as this one, there is no store page to buy them on Steam or GOG, but they are still there somewhere, it's just that Konami doesn't want you to be able to buy it.

Staff Review
The original Silent Hill might be a little outdated for you modern gamers, and for those of you who weren't old enough to crap your pants the first time around! Silent Hill: Homecoming takes the fear factor and eerie setting of the first ever game and brings it to life with next-gen graphics and neat features to make this more than just a game about running and hacking down monsters.

Under rated gem

It's an under rated Silent Hill game. Has some of the best gameplay and combat in the series... While the story is weaker than earlier titles it's still overall a good game. The PC port definitely has some bugs though.

It is very hard to enjoy the game while it keep crashing while very far from recent save. if the game has autosave or I can save from anyway I can manage with all those game crashes but the issue that save locations are not always close to you and you have to waste at least 30 minutes everytime the game crash. I've tried many online solutions but still the game is very bad on PC. I guess I will have to search for PS3 version to be able enjoy it, or just forget it.
