Oblivion was one of the first games I reached 100% achievement completion back when it was new. Loved the game, the DLCs, and everything about it. It's a little dated now compared to Skyrim (Elder scrolls V), the graphics are a little older, and you can't dual-wield weapons, but that's all fixable (for the most part) with a couple mods. The voice acting still holds up extremely well, and has a lot of memorable ones that are very meme-worthy. I remember people exclaiming some of them at the Skyrim pre-release.

An absolute classic. I've played it dozens of times over the years, and I still had 100 hours of playtime in before I did everything there was to do. While there are some things that Skyrim improved on, Oblivion is still one of the best games of its kind. If you've played any of the other entries in the series or other first person RPGs, or if you've never touched this type of game, Oblivion is just the thing for you. Trust me. It will get you hooked, You'll wish there were 7 sequels before you've even finished it. Seriously. I love it. Also, you can't beat the price. This version of the game includes every minor and major DLC ever released for Oblivion. It has something for everyone.

I should open this by saying that Oblivion is my favorite of all the Elder Scrolls games. I would place it in my top 10 favorite RPGs. It was the first game I played with a fairly comprehensive character editor and the classic Elder Scrolls RP elements such as being able to buy houses and to furnish them will always be really neat. Pros: -It has a massive world to explore and it isn't empty. -Terrain and background graphics were above and beyond for when this game was made. -A character builder that may not be quite what a modern one is, but is still fantastic by any standard. -With optional quests, content, and DLC, almost 200 hours of gameplay. -Detail-oriented gameplay. -Massive modding community. Highly customizable. When I first played this game, it actually took me several hours to start following the story because I got absolutely lost in the world. I think it's entirely possible to just play this game hour after hour and just never touch the main story. Even without DLC, there is just a massive amount of non-essential activity to take part in. The DLC adds entire subplots and side stories to the game that could take hours of game time or weeks or real-time to complete. DLC adds some amazing dwellings that really add to the game's subplots and stories, such as Frostcrag Spire, or Deepscorn Hollow. This game actually has what is probably the best DLC of any 3D role-playing game, The Shimmering Isles. It is an entire story very nearly the size of the main quest and it has the best reward of the whole game! Combat is as straightforward or as complicated as you want it to be. Tactical thinking works, unlike so many other combat-oriented games. Taking cover makes you harder to hit. Knocking enemies off ledges or into traps can damage or kill them just as effectively as it can you. Stat customization is a comprehensive leveling system. Some might call this a con because of how intricate the system is: no detail is ignored. Best part? You can make your own magic spells and unique enchanted items (once you're high enough level). If none of this suits you, there's a mod that can change it, streamline it, or completely redesign it. Many mods create new weapons, armor, and items, change the leveling system to something less complex or more complex based on what you're looking for, add enemies, fix glitches, add effects (such as gore or improved weather systems), add or remove enemies, improve UI. There are countless mods. Cons: -Character graphics are...

Out of the skyrim oblivion and morrowind, this is my favorite. It takes the broken rpg elements of morrowind, modernizes them, without limiting the possibilities like skyrim does.

A classic game while the game play can be dated, it still has great story and is still good in 2022.

It's a classic elder scrolls game. I hadn't played it since the xbox360, and it holds up pretty well. I'd definitely recommend adding some mods for graphics and quality of life improvements, but it's still such a fun game.
