About The House of Da Vinci

About this game

Solve challenging puzzles and escape Renaissance-inspired rooms with your The House of Da Vinci Steam PC key. In this adventure strategy, you must use all your wits to find out what's behind your master's disappearance.

Solve mechanical puzzles, discover hidden objects, and dive deeper into an authentic atmosphere. The brain twisters and baffling riddles are all based on Leonardo Da Vinci's inventions.

Mysterious locations have been created based on original artworks and the wonderful Florence, Italy of 1506.

WHAT'S HAPPENED TO LEONARDO?

You are Da Vinci’s most promising apprentice. Your master, Leonardo, has disappeared.

You have no idea where he’s gone or what has happened - it's time to begin your quest and search for the truth. However, Leonardo's workshop is full of puzzles, inventions, escape mechanisms, and objects hidden in all corners of beautifully decorated rooms, so you’ll need to use all of your brain cells to find out what’s really going on!

In Blue Brain Games' own imaginative story of the world’s greatest inventor, Leonardo da Vinci, you'll have access to unique special abilities throughout the game. Warp back into your early days as a young apprentice, exploring the 16th-century world around you. Peek into Leonardo’s mechanisms, puzzles and devices as you eventually become powerful enough to control time itself and learn the secrets hidden in the past.

MASTER UNIQUE MECHANICS

Detect hidden objects by seeing through the surfaces around you. War machines, complex lockboxes, mechanical puzzles, and room escapes will all test your skills.

PEEK INTO THE PAST

An unusual gauntlet allows you to witness events that happened earlier and learn more of the story.

BACKED BY GAMERS

The House of Da Vinci was successfully funded on Kickstarter in late 2016.

A good and challenging puzzle game

A good and challenging puzzle game with great music, great graphics and a reliable hint system. There’s a wide variety of puzzles to solve with lots of interaction spots to slide, turn and press into place, but the controls on some of the mechanisms are very fiddly to get right. Finding the areas to zoom in on can also be very hit and miss and although the 2 lenses add some depth to the puzzles, none of them really stand out as original. The achievement showcase is a nice addition, but the plot isn’t particularly interesting or engaging and the solutions to some of the puzzles in the final chapters are a bit too obscure for my tastes.

Ughhh what an endlessly annoying and frustrating experience! I really enjoyed the Room games and thought that this would be a similarly satisfying puzzle game. Sadly, I was wrong. First of all, the puzzles are either very basic and easy, some stupid trial and error or based on rules and clues you can/ have missed or that are never conveyed. The story is really unsatisfying with a weird ending. Not sure if any of the shown mechanisms have anything to do with da vinci's inventions either. There are endless animations for EVERYTHING, i swear that at least 30 minutes of my 5,5 hours of playtime were spent watching the transition between rooms and stuff. The main part of the gameplay is mindlessly clicking. I have clicked a gazillion of times while "playing" this game. Going somewhere, going back, going back and forth in an endless loop, looking at something, wanting to look at something and the game yeeting you off to whereever and haveing to go back, having to click on every millimeter of everything to find the stupid little hidden things... etc. The most enjoyable part of this experience was when i was able to deinstall the game. Play "The Room" games, they are much better. And if you are in need of a puzzle game after, don't bother with this one.

This is a very interesting game that had me hooked from the start. It isn't a very long game, but the puzzles really make you think and the picture the story paints is great. The movement is a bit clunky and frustrating at times, but it is well worth the struggle, in my opinion.

It is quite a nice logic game, I would like if it had less of looking for the puzzles which is often pixel hunting, and more difficult puzzles, bit it's not such a big issue

Got this game as a part of a bundle. First of all - had absolutely no expectations, as this is not my type of a game. However such interesting puzzle-game with amazing hand-crafted bunch of set-pieces, that are being puzzles themselves, caught me off guard. I'd recommend giving this game a try, even if you are not a big fan of puzzlers.

This is a great game if you like "the room" franchise. You get machines and puzzles and with switches and clue solving you complete all puzzles. Very interesting story about Leonardo da Vinci. Get it!
