Fear the wolves. They are cold, they are hungry - and they will stop at nothing to survive…

Ragnarok. Legend has it that when the coldest winter descends, the Jotan will return to take their vengeance against the Gods of Asgard. The world is on the road to perdition and the fate of Midgard hangs in the balance. But when the Fire and Frost Giants begin to merge their armies, they encounter the clan of the Ulfung – the Wolves of Midgard. Bloody, but unbowed following the destruction of their village, this notorious band of ostracized Viking warriors are determined to seize their destiny and save the world. As clan chief, you must save Midgard from complete annihilation, and spearhead the charge to vanquish the fiendish creatures of the Fimbulwinter.

A diamond-in-the-rough game that plays very well, but not all that memorable.

Seriously underrated game that has much to offer in terms of satisfying gameplay, but definitely not for the purists that are used to more complex hack n' slash ARPG's like Path of Exile/Diablo/Grim Dawn. It has a fairly linear progression on all fronts, yet the artstyle/graphics, the sounds, music, (certain) destructible environments, challenges and story (to some extent) really elevate it above mediocrity and place it just a tad below the greats of the genre listed above. If it had just a bit more depth to item rarity (staple of this genre is, of course, loot hunting) and better developed skill trees, it could have been an instant classic in my honest opinion. Alas, as it is, I found it very enjoyable but not that memorable (aside from near-death experiences I had since I played on Hardcore/Valhalla mode, where death = start from scratch). There is much to improve upon should Games Farm ever opt for a sequel to this game, given that Vikings: Wolves of Midgard truly offers a solid foundation for growth in all directions relevant for this genre. Buying it for full price might be asking a bit too much, but it is a must-buy if you get it on a sale.

I found this to be an overall average game. Very repetitive with an overall uninteresting story. Combat is good enough but skill trees are fairly static. If you enjoy the grind might be worth trying.

Classic isometric hack'n looter akin to the likes of Diablo and Torchlight with a Nordic twist on top. Main quests are good and provide a challenge especially with the boss fights, side missions usually take place in the previously completed map and are entirely forgettable, can be done for resources so upgrade your base/ or your character. Great if you're into the specific genre.

I am still not sure I really recommend this one. It is okay, so far I liked it, but it is nothing special. I am sure there are other, similiar games out there that are better but as such it is not a bad game.

It's worth a playthrough for ARPG fans. Not amazing, not bad. Solid choice for someone who has played through everything else already.

Decent ARPG, there's fun to be had here. Not the best, but not the worst either.

Vikings Wolves of Midgard is an ARPG (Action RPG) focused on fast-paced combat, setting in an intriguing scenary based on Norse mythology. Inspired by some old games like Diablo, while it doesn't offer the same good vibes to me, however it has overall a good vikings atmosphere, good graphics, a well historically representation of the norse mythology and a nice storytelling achieved by excellent ink drawings while voice of the narrator (good acting), talks to us about the story of our hero. We can chose different powers related to different Gods, in order to fit our play style the best. There are different weapons that works well when used in conjunction with the right blessing granted by the right God. Ther's loot and vendors in our village and we can even hang up some of the trophies we have collected in our viking long house in the village. Yes there are better ARPG games we can play, but if you are searching for a good ARPG game to have some fun with, this is the game for you, it's affordable so buy it, play it and have fun. You can even play the entire game co-op with a friend for an even better experience.
