EA has confirmed a new Battlefield is on the way with an action-packed reveal trailer and a release date.
Battlefield 2042, developed by DICE, is the next groundbreaking first-person shooter set to revolutionize the modern multiplayer sandbox. Powered by cutting-edge technology that pushes the capabilities of next generation hardware, BF42 takes place in a near-future setting with an "all-out-war experience" that includes destructive environments that fans have enjoyed through numerous entries in the series.
The game will feature matches with up to 128 players on the latest consoles* and PCs, as well as the inclusion of real-time events that reshape the battlefield and tactical combat. You'll also experience all-new weapons, vehicles, and gadgets give players the freedom to be strategic and create jaw-dropping, only-in-Battlefield moments.

Battlefield 2042 will launch on October 22nd for Xbox One, Xbox Series S|X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and PC.
